So far this is my favorite song and music video that has come out this year. There’s so much emotion in the song and the way this was filmed is just brilliant. The story telling was done so well and the actors in it were phenomenal. The band actually filmed and directed the video. This hits close to home for me in certain parts. I have seen this music video a million times now but every watch has me crying. Literally just watching this reaction made me cry 😂 also the guitar work in pretty much all of their music is *chefs kiss*

The lady speaking at the beginning is Margaret Thatcher, first female Prime Minister for the Uk between 1979 and 1990, she was universally hated for shutting down the mines which were a large source of jobs for the working class. The more you know 👍

The person that replied to this stating the intro is actually from Jiddu Krishnamurti is correct. You can find that information literally anywhere. Maybe you were somehow mistaken or given the wrong info here, but what you said is completely inaccurate. He was a well known philosopher and spiritual leader and this is a recording of him doing spoken word.
I don't know why but this song/video does nothing for me, which is weird because I'm a sucker for an emotional music video and I've heard a few songs by While She Sleeps that I liked 🤷♂️

Sean Long the guitarist was experimenting with 2 whammy pedals (creates that distinct sound) and was persuaded to include it in this song

This band used to be a lot better
