I was prepared for a limited bass response--no ports and a smallish speaker. Bass response from this box is very conductive, meaning bass response is enhanced by what surface the box is placed. I set it on a large wood table and the bass transfer was huge. Evidently the resounding of the box itself proliferating frequency. I'd be curious how much being on a speaker pole would affect that. I also expected some "hot spots" walking thru the crowd space. I found none and then wondered how big a venue would have to be for two synced turtle box. Soon as I figure out how to use this for my singing/guitar gigs. (Input impedance seems to be different from most 1/8" trs mono plugs. And, if you have any intention of using those jacks, make sure you have a right angle plug, because the clearance between the jacks and the door that protects them is pretty tight. Also, unlike most bluetooth speakers that charge by USB, the turtle box charges with a wall-wart transformer house current (120-240v). The battery power of this thing is huge and I'm sure home current make s it charge faster. But, the convenience of charging in your car is lost. That said, I've never played with a system that sounded this clear at the outer edges of volume. I been mixing a long time, this thing is TIGHT. It's also waterproof and built like a tank. Yup, it costs more than a lot of speakers. But the more you're moving towards portable, professional sound in a rough environment, you won't regret paying the extra. Mine was given to me as a gift so I had no motivation to "prove" my expenditure made sense. And this thing is significant enough that I plan to check in from time to time to address its durability.
I use my QSC CP8’s for regular gigs and love them (four of these push out a ton of sound). I am super curious if you’ve tested the microphone capabilities and quality of the Turtlebox, and any thoughts/complaints you be willing to share? I’d like to invest in a simple Bluetooth setup for on the go, and haven’t heard much of these guys, but I’m intrigued lol. Thank you!
Thank you for posting this very informative video review. Quick question. Once the built-in lithium battery needs to be replaced, how easy is it to do.
Great review, been contemplating one myself. My only thing is I don't know how you don't have more subs. This is a great informative channel. Keep up the great reviews.
My husband is a two time war veteran. We are currently living abroad but maintained our Cali and Miami address. We have ordered this speaker 3 times and they keep canceling our order for who knows what reason. They have no customer service number & takes them forever to answer your email. When they do finally answer all they do is shift the blame as to why they keep canceling our order! . Makes no sense. Absolutely horrible experience. Not worth it! 😢
Been taking my duck hunting for a few years now I Throw it in the water all the time. As long as you got the charger port clicked closed it’s 100% water proof I’ve submerged it multiple times too
I have two boxes and I can’t get them to sync. Emailed Turtlebox and no response. Not happy. Will be returning for a more friendly product. Do not buy.
I have been pairing two boxes for a few months now. Typically it’s done within seconds. The only time I’ve had issues is when there are more than one Bluetooth signal being sent out. For example, if I’m trying to pair but my wife’s Bluetooth is also connected with Bluetooth nearby. The most basic answer I got was “Yes, the second box will try to connect to your wife’s phone before it tries to connect to the other box”
My review. You don't need one outside. No one else wants to hear your tunes. Listen to nature and chill. It's better for you and everyone and everything around you.
I love being able to hear mine while tubing

Would be great to find a location to experience a demo.
Good vibrations, or sound Pro do not carry them. Hopefully I can find one.

Not worth the price they are better Bluetooth speakers out there
Doubt it, JBL is about the only one that somewhat competes. But they don’t float. You drop them off the boat it’s going to the bottom
Kinda pricy
They are not water proof you will get water damage

Send it back and get 2 or 50 Exogear

Bet you’re a blast at parties.
No fun zone😂😂😂😂😂
😂 poor guy, he took time out of his day just to find a speaker review.
@@TimeIsMine93 I was thinking the same thing. Who the hell would come to a speaker review video, to say you dont need one??! Apparently, this guy.
nah facts i hate when people blast music in public places like the river
