My favorite bread and butter is bras. Especially shopping at the bins. Victoria’s Secret, Cacique, Wacoal, etc.
I am in Canada and knix bras do really well. Feel like a Lululemon bra. I believe they just started selling in US.
Never heard of wacoal. I recently sold a honeylove bra in less than 30 minutes for a nice profit

i have been trying to focus on ebay in 2023 and a excellent bread and butter brand is Democracy ab solution jeans. the sell thru rate is crazy. every pair i have ever found only lasted a week in my closet. Sells between $30-$35. Also larger Lululemon (size 10 and up) or tall do really well for me.
I also recently discovered democracy ab solution jeans. They have 100% sell thru rate, I keep picking them up and I actually find them relatively regularly.
Democracy sells well for me too! Sells after a week max!

Bread and Butter brands that have sold for me in the past 12 months have been in this order: Nike, Anthropologie, Lucky Brand, Madewell, Free People, Kuhl, Athleta, Chico's, Lululemon, Soft Surroundings, Patagonia. I'm curious how you price items when setting offers to likers at 30% off. Do you price a bit on the high end to make up the difference? Also, any tips you have for selling on Ebay would be a useful video for me. Thanks Morgan!

Although I’m pretty new at this I’ve found Carhartt sells quick. I’m also in the PNW Seattle area. I am seeing lots of Columbia too. Wish I could see Patagonia like you have.
I recently had a carhartt camo hoodie that sold in 4 days for 45 dollars, I'm keeping my eye out for everything carhartt

I do have a video request, I would really like to watch a video about trending keywords, both descriptive and style keywords. Like aesthetics especially.
Lately for bread and butter I've been loving picking up Torrid, Lane Bryant, Lucky Brand, American Eagle, Talbot's, Rock & Republic and some Banana Republic. I've been experimenting with plus sizes and discovered some brands that are normally not something I would pick up have high sell through rates in plus size. Old Navy is a brand I love to pick up in plus size, even Faded Glory flannels do well in plus size. I went to the bins recently and just got a ton of bread and butter, definitely experimenting with some lower end brands, so we will see how it goes.
We don't have the bins where I live but someone just opened a similar store and I want to start sourcing that way, but its so different from what I usually source. I would love a bread and butter video! I have a lot to learn in this area haha

Mercari only allows offers of a certain amount off listed so that’s why you don’t get low ball offers there. I wish PM would do that.
I think they’ve recently changed that.

My favorite bread and butter brand lately has been Flax!! It sells incredibly well. Another brand is Dansko.
Caché has been my bread and butter as well as Cabi
My recent fave bread & butter brands are Soft Surroundings, Offline by Aerie (their leggings sell great!), Ann Taylor Silk (recently found a blouse and flipped it super quickly with great profit), Abercrombie, and Cabi (newer label).
For bread and butter I've been loving Athleta and some Abercrombie pieces lately! Madewell and Everlane are my personal favorite brands so I can never pass them up haha
I also do really well with Abercrombie. It was actually how I got started recently my sister had a ton of Abercrombie jeans. But now I pick it up all the time such as fast flip.
I found nice paper for packaging orders on Ebay, less than $35 & free shipping/ 500 sheets if that helps anyone 😀

I like selling on Mercari, I almost have daily sales, may be I won't get a sale once a week but usually at least once daily and as you said people send very fair offers.

I wish I had a bins... I would feel pretty lucky :) We have a ton of LL Bean (being close to Maine), and for me it sells within a few weeks of listing it.

I ship all my jeans or smaller heavy items in the flat rate envelope the letter or legal one if I’m paying for shipping and it’s over 1lb
I am from MA, I went thrifting in Bend, OR and Seattle bins and found 3 peices of Denim & Supply, loud mouth and Peter Millar which I have never found here. I was hoping to find patagonia. We get a TON of LL Bean tho.
Where in MA are you? I’m in the Worcester area and find Peter Millar regularly. And of course lots of LL Bean too!

I took a thrift trip to Boston and visited a thrift store that prices by the pound. Almost the same and I've only found Loud Mouth once but it sold quick and for good money. I have a thrift trip planned for the CT Bins next week.

Tip for selling Chantelle! Put the 4 digit style number in the listing and/or title. I worked a high end lingerie/swim store for years and Chantelle loyalists tend to know the bra by the number! Not sure if that would have made it sell faster but just a tip :)
First, eBay needs to advertise my items. I have good brands but only get zero- 3 views on average! VERY DISSAPOINTING. Just started listings items again and my 100% rating doesn't help a bit. Thinking about giving up.

I recently been picking up a ton of lane Bryant as well, I found that their a line trousers do pretty well. But I sell a lot of their sweaters really fast too.

when you say COG is .88 cents or $1.40 ... where are you getting that number? I am assuming it's a bins item, but you said you don't weigh your items, so how do know if something only cost .88 cents? Just curious because I always average out my COG from the bins.
She divides the amount payed by the number of items is i think what she said she does.
Just start including shipping within your price on mercari
Been watching and admiring your business for quite a while now, but I can't help thinking why don't you just pack your items in a clear polybag and ship in same? That eliminates the need for the paper and the zip locks. Also eliminates all the work you're doing caring for the zip locks and wrapping the items. Just sayin
Hello! We have over 2000 items and the ziplock is how we inventory them (they are labeled). It is easier to track via ziplock then writing down their location on a bag that gets shipped out. It takes more time to track that available slot, as well makes us more prone to human error. If I do labels I tape on similar to our shoes system, I'm not saving time. We also try to cut back on plastic use so reusable ziplocks are our method. Have a great day!
