I love how the movie subtly gives advice on how to best manage anxiety. In the first half Joy claims she’ll tell Anxiety to just calm down-the wrong way to deal with anxiety. By the end though she directs anxiety to being in balance and making productive contributions to Riley’s life

Relaxing massage chair always calms our anxiety and stress but it doesn’t go away completely, just reducing it. But glad Joy can help Anxiety stop worrying so much and focus on reality.
This may be far-fetched but I thought the detail of Joy helping Anxiety relax was interesting: When people are given medication for anxiety disorders, they're sometimes given antidepressants because serotonin is shown to decrease anxiety in the brain. And here, Joy is seen helping Anxiety by guiding her to a chair and giving her tea. I doubt it was intentional but if it is, that level of detail is INCREDIBLY impressive

I like that they show anxiety being an important emotion but we mustn't let it control our life. We must learn to only worry about what we can control and find joy.
What I like is that Anxiety isn't treated the way Sadness was in the first movie. Anxiety isn't put in a "Circle Of Sadness" where she's ignored, instead just calmed and soothed so that they don't run wild. More importantly, Anxiety offers assistance, reminding them of the Spanish test. If you're anxious about a test, you won't forget to study for it. Anxiety, when kept under control, can be useful. It's when Anxiety goes out of control that it becomes a major problem.
Maya hawke was such a GREAT choice. Not only is she a great actress, but she practically mastered anxiously fast talking with her role as Robin. She was the best part of the movie for me!
Remember, you should always take care of your anxiety because most often, it's because you don't take care of yourself. Anxiety is there to keep you safe but like many things, too much and it warps your judgement and what you think if everyone hating you; is actually people caring about you. You anxiety can warp what your see, by projecting how you feel. This is from someone who worries so much that when they don't worry, they fear someone gets hurt because of it. The one thing I love the most in inside out 2 is that the emotions do have their own rooms signifying compartments or compartmentalization of emotions. This also tells us that in the first movie Riley’s parents other emotions were “sleeping” while the core 5 emotions were always at work.

I think anxiety has learned a good lesson from joy in this film to not worry so much. If you think about it, joy saved anxiety as well as riley.
