Never would have thought spackling the MDF edge to make it smooth after paint. My move would have definitely been decorative trim to cover it. Turned out great. I need to make more painted projects.
Lol, safety sandals shot & subtitled, saves me from watching twice.. Drywall spackle works only if paint enamel is strong, I still prefer using bondo instead if project gets painted. Keep the videos coming, great job.
Consider adding a little more weight to the top by screwing another board in the center underneath or adding some other weight to overcome the soft-shut things. Maybe more weight would help with the noise.
Calling those brackets BAD BOYS is an understatement. They're probably the WORST designed brackets on the market with the pistons right in line with drilling for screws into the top. The C shaped bracket is 10 x's better
I think sparing the baby was a good choice. Besides, if you get sick of him for a while he will fit in there until you're ready to deal with him again. Nice project.
That creaking sound would make me go crazy. It is still a very good looking and useful table. Good work!
Ya i think itll go away soon but even then the table doesnt get opened very often.
The newborn was a great prop choice!! Nice to see you using things you find around the house! Another useful build! Thanks for sharing!
Repurposing old project is always a good thing. I might have to make one for myself.
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
most fathers are proud of their newborns. They are the only achievement they made, that has tooth and nail.
Congratulations to you and your family. Baby boy is gorgeous!
Gentlemeeeen, a treat es special.
Nice table! Nice kid!
Congrats to both you and your wife with the new addition to your family…
Chris?

@@DIYBuilds @ Thanksgiving? Have we met/know each other in a past life? Could totally be possible…I’m in Ottawa…
AvE would be proud of your focusing skills ha
Nice work Dad!👍👍
I think it was a definite improvement
That creaking would drive me crazy otherwise lots of great ideas for my own projects
Great video! I really prefer this video method of talking while your working.
I love the modern look, and the lift top! Now instead of killing the baby, improve the design like the coffee table
I really like your build on the earthquake cabinet rebuild like to know what kind of hinges used
The cheap under $30 ones on Amazon.
@@DIYBuilds I found them thank you very much keep up the great good work
Very nice job .

100% improvement over the original build...IMHO
Congrats to your family on the new born 👍😁🎂
One of your BEST intros yet!
man 5 seconds in and i'm so hype for a reincarnation video 🤷♂🤷♂ or table cool

Congrats on the new addition to your shop! Nice work on that coffee table.... 👍👍😉😉
Why the spackle, I've seen it in your other videos and always wondered why you did that? Great job!
Fill holes and seal endgrain
Where did you get folding brackets from?????
Amazon
For the record, I did not vote for destroying the baby. That new table was a great idea, thanks for sharing!

Ya ive thought about screwing a piece of plate steel to it.
Beautiful child :)
Subbed for the humour 👍🏻👍🏻😂
😆😂 auto level. Great👍👏
What is the creaking noise when you closed the top?
The soft close.
Great intro 😁
WTF!!! Was that intro. 🤣👍
Fantastic work, dude! Well done! 😃
You reused it and it still turned out beautiful! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
PMSL- did your kid just flip the birdie at you at 13.40?????
:-O
"No Dad, I DIDN'T want blankie!!!!'

Baby cruncher into a baby launcher... awesome!
Looks like a skookum choocher.
Did you release this on Saturday Jul 31 knowing that the next day is International Child free day?
Lol nice
Love your build videos, just wish I could work wood!!
you can do it andy, even if it's just a pocket knife and a stick from a tree, you don't need big tools and big space to have a fun hobby :)
I think sparing the baby was a good choice. Besides, if you get sick of him for a while he will fit in there until you're ready to deal with him again. Nice project.
Nice work, but for the safety factor of the redesign -- the scissoring action of those hinges is way more dangerous than the pinching old table.
Na. The kids at there age cant even lift the table so were good.
Grab-ability? Is that Canadian English? 😝
Is (s)he your third?
Yup 3 boys
@@DIYBuilds congrats man!
Nice recycle. Plus side you can now put the baby inside when he gets too loud. I mean....
So your wife doesn’t watch these videos before you post them I take it.
She filmed it.

Wait a minute was this guy going to shoot a baby?!?! Who can we report him to?
Ghostbusters!
