Wouldn't have worked. For every one who wanted peace, someone else wanted the opposite. And the monkey's paw takes away something from all parties. So it's a complete mess.
Sky map is right. The stone would have made world peace by ending humanity. That‘s kinda it‘s whole thing. Taking your wish and twisting it into something horrible
Because he already wished for his father's greatness. It was only when Max realized his son was going to die from this chaotic mess that he renounced his wish.
I think Barbara still has the cheetah in her, she can turn into it and turn back into human. If she’s in Wonder Woman 3 as a villain and her appearance has evolved then I think it would make this movie better.
@@maestercraig3990 maybe, but Diana made everyone renounce there own wish so maybe max only renounced his and it made him normal and not the dream stone anymore but doing that wouldn’t automatically erase everyone’s wishes like time travel in endgame yk

This makes me wonder, this event takes place in 1984, and previously in BVS it was stated that Bruce Wayne's parents got murdered in 1981. Did Bruce also make a wish for their parents return when Max Lord was broadcasting on TV ?
No I think the Waynes got murdered in 1986, if you could recall from a scene in BvS where Bruce visits his parents graveyard before Man Bat is about to attack him.
Maybe he made a wish and that's why the wayne murder theme was heard there and probably that's what Bruce meant when he said the bats took him to the light but it was all a lie
Bruce Wayne: I renounce my wish... (Looking at his parents as they fade away) Bruce Wayne: I'm sorry mom and dad... Thomas Wayne: it's okay Bruce... It's okay...
I see all the comments about the people who wished for world peace, but the point is that people AREN’T wishing for things they need. They’re wishing for things that feed their pettiness or greed. The point of the film is that wanting it all can easily become wanting nothing for others. The only way to defeat greediness is to say no.
Some people are having some serious bad faith takes on the point about renouncing the wishes, like saying "LMAO HUGE plot hole what if someone wished their kid didn't have cancer anymore?! 🤪" but then miss the entire point that the wishes have an equally bad cost. Don't get me wrong, I have problems with the movie, but some people are trying too hard to make the movie seem bad.
Every time a movie pulls out a "wish mechanic" it's always inside the box. Care what you wish for is an oldest cliche you can find. It's never a moral dilemma, or clever way to work around rules, or something different.
Random comment: I'd like to see Doctor Psycho in Wonder Woman 3 and Cheetah's return. That would be so sickkk . Especially with Doctor Psycho, a very interesting and pretty sick villain
I think this was the first super hero movie where nobody died? Aside from the wife wished dead, but all wishes are being renounced so she probably revived? Congrats movie, you have a zero fatality rate, even spared your two baddies.

"I renounce my wish"
There’s always a price to pay for so another kid probably had to die to let that child live.
@lol idek so basically, max well's pay to price is his fatherly love?
Mando’s kid wished his dad would come back, and we never saw him renounce. Then his wish came true. What?
because Max realizes he was a bad father
Because he already wished for his father's greatness. It was only when Max realized his son was going to die from this chaotic mess that he renounced his wish.
