Will there be a video about estimating costs and limiting accidental costs in Azure? The problem for me is that in the free Test accounts of Azure, there is a cost limit you can set and it will disable services once the limit is crossed. Unfortunately, this feature lacks usage-based accounts. So my biggest concern is to accidentally book a service without realizing it and having no way to limit the costs. There seems to be a way to set limits to certain features but it is very complicated and I haven´t yet managed to implement this feature. I am using Azure at the moment as a test infrastructure and consider recommending it to my customers as a cloud infrastructure but I really miss the sure-fired ways to calculate and limit the costs. My customers are small or medium businesses without the manpower to have employees trained especially on Azure.
Similar here. I want to do a tutorial, but I keep running into things that seem to be for a fee. In theory one can sign up for a free account, but a long time ago I signed up and then never used it, and the credit elapsed, or so it seems. I thought maybe I could sign in with different info, but I only have one phone, so no dice. I started setting up this, under the work account, but then can't get into the cloud shell because it says I need to set up a file share that has a fee, and the info at the links is confusing. I need the 100 version I guess.
@dotnet I would like to follow along, but it says I need storage mounted to use azure cloud shell, and that has a monthly cost. I'm totally new at this which options do I pick for the most minimal cost?
How is this for beginners? What is a tenant? What is a resource group? How do I create a new Azure account and what settings are important? You've skipped over a lot of basics. And why are you using the command line for everything? What is this, 1992?
Awesome. Really Liked the content of the Tutorial . Keep up the good work MS Team
I've been waiting for this playlist for a while 🎉
But I see it's needs to a video about Cosmos DB 101

He went over what a resource group is. Command line isn't that bad, and if you don't like it just do it through the GUI
Yeah he has not even covered basic terms of azure, no way a beginners tuto i agree
