Hey dude, i want to provide some constructive criticism on the channel as this is the first video I've come across from you, but I think it will make a massive difference for your channel and your following. You need to get comfortable with silence in a sentence and stop filling that void with an umm or an uhh. In the first few minutes of the video you said each of these far too many times and I believe it would make a massive difference to the final product of the video and even your confidence in general to be okay with finishing a thought in your mind before completing the sentence. This will make people actively listen more to what you're saying. Don't want to come off as rude and I hope you see this and learn from it. I'd like to see more of your videos in the future where this has made a big difference. Good luck soldier!

    Two things:
*Nick* - There's nothing that says both weapons have to have this property. So, comboing the Vex property of the shortsword gives you advantage on the Nick attack with a dagger or scimitar, making an excellent sneak attack combo for any Rogue.
*Vex* - Nothing in the property says it only works once per turn. So, an 11th level Fighter, or similarly leveled Pact of the Blade Warlock can potentially get multiple attacks at advantage every round.

I think dual wielding will be quite fun with this. People I've heard talk about dual scim being the best option but I think I can see an even better version of this. Shortsword mainhand and and offhand scim.
    - You go Eldritch knight
    - When you gain the ability to swap an attack for a cantrip, use true strike with your short sword for your opening attack. Roll with advantage and gain extra damage while using vex.
    - Make the rest of your attacks with your action using your main hand short sword to keep up vex
    - finish your turn with a scim attack if you want to keep a free BA. Though you can do this with dual shorts words if you don't care about the BA every turn in order for you to gain advantage on any potential opportunity attacks.

That’s true, how silly of me. The only prerequisite though is having the Weapon Mastery feature, which is included in the Barbarian, Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, and Rogue classes. If you hit a kobold with a topple weapon they are going down with their measly con score of 9. A Brown bear with a con of 16 will need you to roll 5 above their AC of 11 to topple them.

Just finished watching. Great guide thanks.
I’m very curious about the interactions of the pistol and the musket with the old rules regarding firearms now because in the old rules, those were called out under a weapon category of their own as firearms and so any of the feats or abilities that mention firearms automatically applied to those as well as the more modern weapons. However, with them being included in the general list of weapons as Marshall ranged weapons, there doesn’t appear to be a definition in these rules for firearms so if we’re using these new weapons, or I should say new versions of these weapons with their reclassification, it’s arguable that the gun feet or the Giff ry-al property or even the firearm, master or firearm expert feet from Critical Role, since all of those call out firearms generally, without specifying, a list of specific weapons, arguably those don’t apply to these new versions of the weapons…

So let me see if I'm right with this build: A Tiefling College of Dance Bard with a one level dip into either Fighter or Rogue to get the Weapons Mastery. He's Dual Wielding a Short Sword (Vex) and a Scimitar (Nick). In Combat he's using Dex as both are Light Finesse Weapons: Short Sword first to get Advantage on next Attack. Two Attacks with Scimitar, the first being with Advantage. Since he's a Dance Bard, he can make an Unarmed Attack in the Attack Action (or as a Bonus Action, not sure which this is made as). He then does a jumping spin (with flourish while singing a Dwarven Battle Song) and hits his opponent with his tail. Am I correct that he can get four attacks in one round? This is all info I gathered from your videos and others I've watched as I still don't have access to the books yet.

    • @ErrorlessQuill9

@@ErrorlessQuill9 I thought with the change of the Light Property, you could make two attacks as part of the Attack Action? Nick gives you one extra Attack, for three Attacks. • @ErrorlessQuill9

@@rickspotten8497 No, the Light property lets you make an off-hand attack as a Bonus Action. The Nick property lets you make that off-hand attack as part of the Attack action.
If you did a College of Dance Bard, you could make one attack as an action, one extra attack as part of your action (because of the Nick property), then a Bonus Action attack with your Unarmed Strike. You can’t double up with both the Nick and Light property (in other words, you can’t make the attack as part of your action and do the Bonus Action attack as well; you’re only able to do one or the other).
