    Print times:
    K1 Max: 2h 35m
    V400: 3h 5m
    X4 Plus: 4h 4m
All using the same “print” settings and letting the default slicer and printer settings do the rest at a .2mm layer height.

I wonder if a square "delta" machine with four arms would actually make sense? Of course it would increase cost, but it would take up about the same amount of space and have a larger and squareish build area. Just a thought.

Well, Now I have all the different types of 3D printers after 5 years of doing the hobby!
I did not plan this set of printer choices, it just ended up this way?
I have now 3 bed slingers ( including the Neptune 3 Max. )
I have a FL Sun Delta QQ-S Pro. I have a Saturn 2 Resin Printer and now just got the new Qidi X-Plus-3 Core XY enclosed printer.
So I by chance ended up with all the main types of 3D Printers.
I had some big problems though over the last 2 years with the Delta Printer and the Aquila ( even though I upgraded it )
such that I saved up for some time and brought the Qidi printer.
That core xy Printer with Klipper is my 1st klipper printer that also is the 1st enclosed one. It is the best by a long way out of the other FDM printers I got.
I am now thinking of saving up to get either another Qidi x-plus-3 printer or the Qidi X-Max-3 bigger version? And sell off the Delta and the Aquila as,
They just so much trouble to level and work right, They both were great printers and I loved both but no matter the amount of upgrading and maintaining and work I did on them,
They just still got worse, So they most likely be going? I just keep the two newer FDM printers, the Neptune 3 and the Neptune 3 Max.
I have the new BTT Pad 7 and hope to set those two up for Klipper control? I found that no matter the care and maintaining and upgrades and
hard work you do to keep some new printers going, they seems to just bit by bit get worse to use even though I have only used they some of the time not all the time some hobby uses do!
Shame to lose two But no matter the amount of care those two just don't wish to work fully?
I will see about building a room inside the spare room where they are that be sound proofed and safe to put all the printers I keeping.
It be better sound wise and mean all the printers be used without bothering me when I sleep next door. The Qidi X-Plus-3 really is a great fast enclosed printer.
I be trying out a new Sparkle Type ASA filament by Flashforge soon?
I just brought a new Ruby tip nozzle of 0.8 mm for the Qidi as the ASA sparkle notes state
I need a hardened nozzle of at least 0.6 mm to use the filament! So I went with a 0.8 mm version. Be interesting to see what the sparkle ASA looks like?
Mine is the dark blue one.
They do also a white one, a black one, a light blue one, a dark green one, a red one. so some good colours there to pick.

I think I'm going to go with a delta next. I'm excited for the FLSUN S1. The only printer I currently own is a Qidi X Plus 3 CoreXY, and I love it, but deltas are so cool, and with the S1 coming out with all the things that the Bambu X1E has, I'm in.

Started on a Creality CR-10 back in 2016 so very fond of the bedslingers. I do have a Bambu X1C and it's an amazing machine but also have my Creality bedslingers CR-10 S Pro and CR-10 SE the Ender CR-10. I even still have my original CR-10 8 bit driver board printer.

The best 3d printer is...the one you can afford. Its just about printing. Some can do it a bit better , some not so much but its about printing. Get what you can, start learning and printing and never feel like your less because you cant spend 1500 on a machine, all the latest gen printers are good in their own way.

Huge opportunity missed though by not using the same models and even more importantly posting the actual print times so people have an idea how much time / speed their money buys them. Something to keep in mind going forward. Thank You for the video.

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  4 месяца назад

Since they are mechanically the same as a cartesian machine, I skipped them. My personal issue with them is they are usually more expensive than a bed slinger and now that coreXY is getting so cheap, there is almost no benefit to get one over the newer style machines. :/

My heart wants a delta because they are sick and less popular. But because they are less popular I'm worried ill run into issues with possible upgrades I 'may' want to do. How hard is enclosing a bedslinger? The electronics on a core xy are technically enclosed, but usually in their own compartment. I like enclosuers to vent out my window. I have a slightly upgraded OG Solidoodle 4. I've been getting back into 3d printing and feel like its time has come to upgrade lol. Theres so much new tech out now, upgrading it doesnt feel worth it when anything new offers so much more. My goal isnt really to get a printer to 'tinker' but also feel bad blowing a ton of money on a high end one. Which likely means tinkering lol. which is where popular models have benefits. I was thinking of getting a refurbished FLSun on ebay. SR is 200 and V400 is 400. Cant decide if the V400 has enough upgrades to be worth double. Its nicer in virtually every way but at the end of the day does the same thing.

    The ender three se rules
Its thru you just have to need fun three d Printing.
I started whit easy thread k9.
And fine tuned it in Cura.
For smal prints i stil use the smal one .
Bud i put a steel bed on the k9 and use a glu stick .
And i used other Springs and cut them to the size.
And its a amazing Little printer.
That is almost as fast as my 3vse
    .
You also need to fine tune the se.
    And put on 2100.
    80 80 50.
    And the slicer speed 160.
Even the Eiffel Tower came of it whit no supports.
    So nice.
    I must say.
The creality slicer is a good slicer.
A specially for this printer .
    Just pusch the advanced button.
And it almost the same as cura.
That a use on my Little k9 from easythread.
    Have printing sruff

The other issue with Delta's and their size to keep in mind is that, if you print a lot of square based things (e.g. gridfinity/HSW/multiboard), the biggest you can print on a 300mm build plate is actually only about 210mmx210mm, which is smaller than an Ender...

    • @3DPrintSOS
      @3DPrintSOS  4 месяца назад

I dont think the machine type will matter here as all 3 are generally using the same type of components. The reliability typically comes from the manufacturer choosing one cheap part over another and that part failing. Like a bearing, belt, or more likely a sensor.

I’ve made videos on how to tune input shaper via root access and unlocking both x and y shapers. That helped quite a bit. Also speed tuning to find at which speeds the printer prints the best and sticking to it. I have very little to no VFA in my prints on that machine and it’s still among the fastest printing out of my fleet.
