Thank you for that samples between the different types of papers. Always I would get frustrated with the paper because of the gritty look even after multiple layers. The lux paper was a eye opener for me it was exactly what I was looking for, I would put more layers of color just to achieve a smooth color and not see the break in color because of the tooth of paper. Thank you, thank you!!
This demonstration is amazing ! I was waiting to see a great review, and got it. This is a huge difference ..its stunning ! Thanks for sharing...this helped me make a decision ! LuxArchival in my future !!💗
Thank you so much for sharing LIsa. I didnt know about this paper but am now wanting to give it a go to see if it will respond well to the finer details. Great demo, thanks again. x
Yes, thanks Angela. We’ve never seen destruction on this level before. I’m in NSW on the mid north coast. We had dreadful fires just before Xmas. The wildlife loss breaks my heart, not to mention the cost to people. Very stressful x
Thanks so much for this video, Lisa! So interesting to see the comparison and I can't wait for your next tests. I am wondering if I will like the LuxArchival better than Pastelmat. I hope not because I have so many sheets of Pastelmat in my drawer.
Lol! Me too! I won't be swaying away from my Pastelmat as to be honest I still prefer to work on toned papers plus with the other tests that I did there is at least one thing that the Pastelmat did for me that the Lux did not, but that is a specific effect that I aim for when creating my ink pieces. I have about a 5 year supply of Pastelmat here still & sponsorship again this year!
@@AnimalArtbyLAW Thank you so much for your quick reply , i subbed and cant wait to watch more of your videos! Hi From Canada i hope you are staying safe in these times
I will check with Alyona. This came in a pack of 10 sheets but I know CPM are giving away a sample sheet with all of their hard copy magazines this month
Hi Marion. It's not available in the UK yet either but I've been doing some tests on it for people to see whether or not they might like it when it dies come out. It should become available with whichever distributor already sells the other Brush and Pencil products
Yes and I LOVE them for it- am I the ONLY one in the world that wants Mungyo to put their soft oil pastel in a pencil? I would corner a market I am sure-LOVE soft oil pastel but I want it in a pencil format- Holbein is the closest I found until using sanded paper
Hi Brenda, I'm going to look at this specifically but I think if you compare it to pastelmat it is a balance of possibly the same amount of dust but over less layers, that is why it looks more apparent. That is what I'm thinking at the moment but I'm going to test it again using different pencils and with that specific in mind
@@AnimalArtbyLAW look forward to hearing more and as it will take some time before we get it here in Australia theres plenty of time for that. Mind you if its anything like her other products it will be very good regardless of my problems....
I would like to see this done with a dark piece of pastelmat
Hi. Thanks for the video....can you tell me if you use fixative or a final varnish on these papers

WOW.. so glad I preordered some of the LuxArchival! Thank you so much, Lisa... you put my concerns to rest!! :-)
Isn't it just fantastic? I will have the next video up in a bit :)
Amazing comparison. I had to order a pad of Lux! Can't wait to try it now!!

@@AnimalArtbyLAW this is so exciting! Looking forward to your next videos!
wonderful video thank you
Can you do light over dark colors just like pastelmat?
Yes, absolutely. This is a true sanded or textured support allowing light over dark 😊

Thanks, very helpful review!
Do you think this would be good for pastel pencil as well?
Thanks for doing this Lisa! I hope they will bring out a trial pack, much like Uart has.

Animal Art by LAW Thanks Lisa.
@@AnimalArtbyLAW Yay!!!
Thanks Lisa. I don't think the Lux is available in Australia yet. Happy New Year and looking forward to your videos in 2020 (-: Marion

can only think of the bush fires you have at the moment,,
The Lux makes colored pencils work more like pastel pencils.

What if you put layers on them? How many layers can they take?
Are you going to look at pastel pencils as well?
I don't really use pastel pencils sorry. But I'm sure some of the artists that do will have hold of the paper soon to demo them
Looks like it makes more dust than the pastelmat which is hell for my sinuses sadly but looks lovely though
