When someone can look back on a time when things were more Godly, moral, Biblically centered and dismiss it as "just a different culture", they have missed an extremely central point that will keep them from ever being the Godly societal influencers they need to be. The thing with being back in those days was that everyone, from the least to the greatest, rich and poor, knew Who God was, had a foundational understanding that most pastors today would find deep, and real repentance to that generation was only a prayer away. Today, this generation doesn't even know which way up is. So, like Sodom, for them to hear, repent, change, be discipled and mature as actual Christians will take an effort beyond what the world view and expectation of Christianity that these men have is able to afford them.
