The Michigan Girl makes me so proud. I can tell she's a Detroiter. When she was talking about the GPS, lots of Detroiters/Michiganders mispronounce words like "Lahser", "Dequindre", and "Gratiot", which are all street names. We also add "s" at the end of words like "Fords", "Meijers", and "Chryslers". Lastly, we say "milk" really weird (usually in the SW and up north). They say it like "melk". As a Detroiter, it grinds my gears

The Midwest always pronounces their “i’s” as “e’s.” So a lot of times you’ll here “melk” instead of “milk” or “begal” instead of “bagel.” But it also depends on the area because to the world all we are is an American accent

0:39 I have a better answer. Half two-syllable words that have a "t" halfway in between them, and any word that ends in -ing is pronounced -in'.
    Examples:
    "Mou'ain."
    "Bu'on."
You know, like New Mexico, and Colorado.
    "Skiin'."
    "Runnin'."
And nobody pronounces "it's"/"its" correctly. Those words sound like "i'ss."
And I think the whole country doesn't pronounce water as "water," but as "wadder," or something like that.
