When I first saw this game when I was a kid a hated the look. However, I gave it a shot. Then I just couldn't stop playing it and the background music is very dancing :D Great Game!
The look of that rock garden of a game (with minimalistic music to match) is what forever fascinates me. Had the hero trudge through it in full gravity on DOS though (one game takes about 90min there). This Disco Yakuza Greek on the SNES had one espresso too many.
Does it really play this fast on the native hardware or is this an emulation thing? I always played the original on amiga which was about 1/3 the speed.
The first level soundtrack is so 90's, a bit sad like the love we separate from by the end of the summer.. As for the game itself, God, I remember the PC Port Ms-Dos, nostalgia at its finest. Great walkthrough though
correct me if wrong here: Into the wonderful was the name of theme by John Foxx, but not the name of the game. Also, the theme is not present in this version.
Amazing playthrough, you showed some awesome skill here. Thanks for uploading :) It would have been perfect if you didn't die at 29:06, but on the other hand it doesn't really matter since it's clear that you died on purpose, to make your run faster. I just wonder why you wanted the bombs at 29:19 since they disappear a few seconds later anyway.
A bit too fast, also it looks like they didn't use much colours. The Amiga version looks like it has more colours on screen. It should be the other way round!
@@Galimah No this SNES version is waaaay too fast as if it overdosed on an energy drink and the colours take it away from it's historic looking setting and make the main character look like he is about to join a pride march (not that there is anything wrong with that)
@@Galimah *slightly slower.. I think whoever ported this version wanted to show the Snes was faster than the genesis hardware by making the game faster....
Gods was definitely made for an monitor that could display sharp pixels. This game lost a lot of it's charm on a TV. It was really satisfying to throw knifes arround, I hope this games comes to a virtual console on a switch near me :p tkx for posting
37:48 the fact that they were missing numerous alphabets here made me return the game to the rental store. I mean really, if you look at the other names on the high score list, they show names with letters you couldn't use; I'm looking at you Hercules! 😡
with all the detail in the rest of the graphics, it boggles my mind that the item selection uses a plain green square that just looks like a graphical glitch imo (although it's in all versions of the game). Also, surely in the SNES version they could have put item selection onto the shoulder buttons or Select or something. This stuff just seems lazy to me.
in my memories there was a game that had nearly the same style but it was darker and you could choose between more characters , but sadly i don't know the name :(
The amiga version have better graphics and gameplay. On that speed and with this music it's like a burlesk. You simplified it to an arcade game, but this is an action-adventure originally. I Wouldn't enjoy the game like this. This is about Hercules and the Immortality, not like in the Rainbow Islands.
This was a joy to watch. I remember it being the single most difficult SNES game I've ever played, but you made it look like child's play.
Was made for the Amiga 500 , was much better graphics and sound and far harder! The intro music was epic on the Amiga
Enjoyed it. I remember the game mostly for the soundtracks which were awesome.
Love this game and the SNES port is excellent. I remember completing this back in the the day but I doubt I played as well as this !! :)
I hope they remake this game so much memories
They did. And its a pretty good port too.
One word: Dosbox.
"Snatches passwords on screen." Thanks man.
4:20 First Boss
17:40 Second Boss
26:45 Third Boss
36:13 Fourth Boss

Damn, it runs so fast on the SNES! On DOS it was running at maybe half this speed.
Does it really play this fast on the native hardware or is this an emulation thing? I always played the original on amiga which was about 1/3 the speed.
It actually runs this fast.
@@javaykirk2688 dang. It almost looks unplayable.

17:40 blast me down! The gem is actually optional for fighting the Dragon. Neat moves.
This game is about to be de-Listed from the switch eshop FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's 90% off only 99 cents.

Insanely fast compared to the Amiga original

snes wins anyway. amiga version is painfully slow and laggy. feels lika playing an atari game

It's twice as fast as on Amiga, but I still prefer that version.

Play it at 2x speed to get a glimpse into the long lost 32x port.
Can't help but think that a more "metal" soundtrack would be cooler
Agreed.
The disco sondtrack didn't fit so well.
This game had a fucking nightmarish into.

TAN TAN
*dark intro music*
Speed is absolutely ridiculous. Not a patch on the Amiga version.

The original Shadow of Colossus
Please make a vídeo with All Secrets Revealed...will you.? Snes version? Then i'll take you for a God..!
I wanted to say you’re wearing a lilac outfit, but if you fight like this, who am I to judge.
Play in snes?
Dont you bother get the secrets?
oh yeah snes version 😂 just make cheat codes for lives, money etc

you missed a lot of good stuff :(
aspect ratio fucked
This broken mess game is not this fast takes away from the whole thing.. physics are broken the game char runs at 25fps and they just overclocked it..
