- Hi everyone and welcome back to the channel.
This is just a very random quick mid week video.
It’s a willow tree that grows by the area of the garden where I put all the grass cuttings etc.
Every couple of years it needs a good cut back!
And that time has come round again!😄
Thanks everyone for checking in😊👍

Absolutely!😄👍
Perfect timing. We have to do ours this fall too. Thanks!!

The care home where my in-laws lived on Hayling used to do this. Meant that they maintained their sea views!👍👍
Yes it’s a good way to have trees but keep them small!😆
Great to see all scenarios that you in your daily work.

I planted a maple sapling 2 years ago with the intention of pollarfing. I didn't know what it was called but liked trees like that while i visited Paris. Love your videos. Always learn something from them. You inspire me to keep my yard neat. Thanks for extra video. Much appreciated ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks glad it was interesting 😊👍
Another jobs done for the winter , a nice wee area for the wild life
Yes lots here, deer foxes pheasant etc😄👍
When I was growing up, there was a row of pollarded trees next to the children’s library. I always thought they looked like aliens with their stalks and bulbous ends. On a separate note, a while ago I was trying to come up with “pollarded” and kept coming up with “espaliered”. The mind is a terrible thing 😂. It was interesting to watch.
Thanks
They do always look funny pollarded trees. Especially if they have been pruned like it for many years 😄👍
Luar biasa teman 💪👍
Thanks 🤗
Don’t apologise for this video , I really enjoyed it .

Is it strange to cut/trim and just leave the cuttings and not have to rake/bag/haul away? I enjoyed this little video!
Yes it’s where all the garden waste if left to rot down 😊👍
Good random video and my cup of tea too, so thank you.
What’s the model of your Stihl electric saw you were using? Did you use the one battery for that job?
It’s a stihl msa 161t
Glad you had something to watch with your cup of tea😊👍
In the Low countries (Belgium and Holland) is isn't as common as it used to be. Willows were planted next to brooks and ditches and provided materials to weave baskets
Yes you quite often find them next to rivers and streams as they love the wet conditions 😊👍
Is that area only used for cuttings and green waste? Does it ever need to be cleared out? Do you do that as well? It's a lot.
Yes just green waste and all just rots to soil😊👍
Good team however should best taken out at base
😊👍
