I've heard people say that the puppets look creepy, but I don't mind their design tbh. What do you all think about them though? 😅😆
The puppets are not creepy.
I think they did an amazing job translating the designs from the show to the stage.
My only gripe with the puppets is just the ears on them are a tad small, otherwise I thought they were well done.

I went to it a few months ago, and I thought it was pretty good. It really felt like it was written and played out very well by the puppeteers, and it actually connects to the main series, so ya, good show!
i saw this show in hollywood with my gf wearing the bootleg bandit and chilli onesies we got online. we were both in the front row and were actually tryna spot you before it started! although we havent crossed paths, i had a great time. though at the end when they threw balloons all over the theater, a ball knocked out my glasses off of my face LOL. im ok i found them not long after.
I actually think the puppets look really good! Definitely has more effort and care put in than most kids stage shows.
I just got cast as Bluey in this and am doing some research. So great to hear you enjoyed it!

When I first heard of Bluey's Big Play, I honestly thought it would take place in a Tuesday afternoon in which Bluey invites everyone in her class (Rusty, Chloe, Winton, Indy, Honey, Snickers, Coco, and Jack) to her house for her 'Biggest Play Ever'. While they do play, Judo, Lucky, and Chucky also join them for 'The Big Play'. They then spend the rest of the night playing lots of games and at the same time, the kids worry about growing up and never playing again when they do while their parents talk about adult life in Bluey's livingroom. I loved this version though, it was wholesome!
the puppets do look kinda creepy but i gotta say i love how they move the eyebrows it feels so naturel im not gonna be able to see this show live but if i had the chance to go even if alone i whold im really intrested in this its fascinating
I found out that there will be one close to my house in June. But I don’t really know how to ask my mom if she can buy tickets, I’ve never asked her anything like that. I don’t even know when to buy the tickets either. I don’t want to get any spoilers what it’s about, but I can’t wait to see it!

I don't know if it would play anywhere near my area within East Tennessee or not, but a playthat adults can enjoy and the fact that Bluey and bingo are in their little toy car as Janet and Rita, that right there along with the special heartfelt moments would make the show for me.
Also is a side-note maybe I'm just an insane floof and all,but anyone else who has seen the driving through the mall scene in The blues Brothers, with music that was playing in the background, but combining that with the Janet and Rita personas in the little toy car

Also as a side note what would be scarier coming at you. sweet tooth and the rest of the twisted metal gang, or really really really angry chili on the pursuit? I'll leave that for anyone who reads this to the side but we all know the real answer here lol
I went and watched it on my own (as a 28 year old guy) and I had the time of my life! Nobody really paid any attention to me, but I still wanted to show off by wearing a fun Unicorse T-shirt! Overall, really impressed with the show, and the bunraku style of puppetry lending itself very well for the characters! Hope they make a new story for a whole new show!
I wanna see it but there are 2 things preventing me:
1. The puppets look rather… odd
2. To my knowledge, it hasn’t come to Canada, and I dont think it will anytime soon so i’d have to go to the US to see it.

They're coming to my city in March and we'll be seeing it. I have a three-year-old, so she's my non-awkward excuse to go see it (though, she's a Bluey fan too).
I found out about the show originally from watching a clip of it on RUclips and I began stalking its US shows to see if/when they'd be playing here.
Way cool that you got to meet Bentendo! Not really counting on it, but it'd be cool if I saw other RUclipsrs for real life like you did.
Did you do vip by any chance. Wondering what I'm in for, if it was worth it.
@@ericareyes8563 I didn't do VIP; just regular. I spent around $200 for two tickets (including a coverage thing in case I needed to refund it). Tickets were bought months in advance (December) when it first opened up, so it'd be cheaper and able to choose a section. I used To kPick if that helps.
To us, it was worth it. Especially since I recorded the whole thing (not as good as the real thing but decent enough to watch at home I guess). lol
It's about 45-50 minutes long though and resembles an episode or if Bluey was a movie. It's also controlled by people like puppets instead of costumes. Those were the biggest complaints from reviewers I've read.
There's a lot of light and silhouette effects like birds flying and a dance mode moment with Chattermax (that was fun). It also gets a bit interactive with the audience with bubbles, a game of Keepy Uppy, and trying to find Bandit's phone.
Merchandise is real expensive though. I didn't account for that, so all we could afford was a set of pins. My daughter wanted an asparagus light that was $25 and I wanted a shirt that was $40 (we didn't get either).
Just about everyone was decked out in Bluey clothes, and me not having any available Bluey adult clothes, I felt out of place. 😅 I was told Etsy sells adult shirts though in case you're interested. Amazon has kids sizes.

If I had known that it would be coming to the US that soon, I definitely would've told my folks and George about it. But, since this came as a surprise, I nor George were able to make it. Even then, we probably wouldn't be able to come during that weekend because of how much tickets cost. Hopefully in the near future, we'll be able to see it on Disney+.

Just seen it, the puppets may look a tinge “off”, but they translate the rounded rectangle look very well

Just watched it last week as it was touring Singapore. Without a doubt, the best play I’ve ever seen next to the Back to the Future musical.
I want to see it but there are some things preventing me:
1. The puppets look creepy
2. I dont think blueys big play is coming to romania anytime let alone it coming "anytime soon"

I actually searched this play up and I think it's coming to where I live this year actually. But I'm nervous to go alone because I'm older and I am a teenager. I think my mom would go with me. She has never watched the show tho. But I'm sure she knows how much I love it and saw that I had a Bluey plush. But I don't know anyone else who would go with me. The rest of my family definitely wouldn't go with me...So, I'm nervous to buy tickets because I'm not like under 10...should I go? Also, I think that using the puppet models were amazing and an unique idea. It looks like a fun play to go and see. Just scared of anyone seeing me there because I'm way older. I better save up some money then. I would love to buy some Bluey merch if I go.

I wish there were a way for us to see it.
I watched it yesterday in RUclips and at some point you forget that you are watching a Puppet Show and makes you feel like watching a whole New episode, even If they re used many things from different episodes in the series.
However the best thing they could have done was add Lucky's Dad (Pat), even if it was a brief moment, I enjoyed the fact he made into the show.
BUT THE BIG BUBBLES OMG SOMEONE ACTUALLY GOT TO TAKE ONE HOME
Where is the best seat to get the full experience in the theater? Are floor seats a good view?
Overall I got put on one of the rows towards the bottom and front and I thought it was the perfect view. I’m not sure about getting the absolute closest seats bc I’ve heard some ppl say the puppets looked a little uncanny, but I was seated at a bit of a distance and it didn’t bother me tbh 😅
I guessed about 110$ on the stuff, but 80$ is still very expensive!

Just saw it today it was phenomenal! 50 minutes was too short! Me and my older sister even played along with the games. We are both adults by the way.

I went to see it, and while I was very proud being one of the few non-parents there who wasn’t a preschooler (I’m a teen btw), I didn’t like the puppets that much…? Surprisingly, it’s not the “oh they’re creepy” reason, I just find it really off putting how unexpressive they are in comparison to how the characters look on the cartoon. They’re like, always smiling. Other than that, it was pretty good. However, I remember someone being “oh they’re using puppets and not costumes, how lazy!” and that really bugged me? This is actually pretty unique for a kid-targeted show, IMO, puppets are kinda underestimated.
It’s a good show! I liked it when I saw it in Hollywood, I spent 90 dollars on stuff there lol
