I can watch this team, that’s the difference. We can lose and I can watch this team. I watched every minute of this and they lost by a lot. When Danzy missed that catch I was like “dammit” but I wasn’t depressed like when morlock drops.

I hate to say this but I agree why haven’t we already been playing Brock and even letting Luke get some snaps what do you got to lose well let me tell you probably not 1-6 obviously as long as the receivers would catch the ball more consistently. Glenn should be the guy moving forward. Dj shouldn't just get the job because he transferred ( for the 2nd time). Brock makes me want to watch FSU football this year!

It did feel different. Hard to define but it was there. Stats don’t tell the whole story.

Indeed, DJU is more like "Lerch" from the Adams Family or maybe a Tree Ent (Lord of The Rings), neither is good. Indeed, Brock demonstrated that he has an actual "internal QB Clock" and a real ability to be a threat with his feet.
Brock gives us a chance to win a game or two… and he’s a team leader, something this team desperately needs!

Clemson fan here. Brock played a helluva game. Noles, u have your quarterback. Hated to see him injured at the end; hope not serious. Always have alot of respect for FSU; pulling for you the test of the season.
Honestly big mistakes made this game worse. High snaps, holds on big plays, horrible drops.
If Brock had an offensive line, he may have played even better. This o-line buckled.
Wild how the entire nation knew who to start at QB months before the coaching staff did!

Credit to the FSU fans who showed up. I lived for a decade in KC, and the attendance at KU was abysmal. When KU was 1-4 or 1-5 (which they often were), you'd have a few thousand fans.
I truly believe we would have had at least three wins with Glenn starting but it's been 5 years that coach Mike been here with us we should not be in this situation if we can fire a coach after 19 games I believe it's time for Coach to get out of here we need a tough nose coach I believe Diaz is a better coach let's go get him from Duke
Rest assured, that by no means is Norvell's job as HC, even remotely close to "safe." The powers that be will not tolerate another "Jimbo" like program meltdown. Ironically Brock's performance only demonstrates Norvell's failure as a HC. The truth is, but for DJ's injury, no one can say with any degree of confidence that Norvell would have started Brock and that in and of itself is a damning indictment of Norvell's ability (or lack there of).
Manny is not the answer. Look at what happened at Miami. I don't really see a coach at this point that is available or capable of doing anything with this mess. There are coaches out there, don't get me wrong, I just don't see them being out there right now.
I expected Clemson to be a blow out. So im not really disappointed in the outcome.
Other than J. Douglas the rest of the older players can hit the road. Youth movement time, Williamson and Portier make me want to pull my hair out. Freshman make mistakes thats understable but 4 and 5th year Seniors 🙄

If we can get some WRs that can catch, then we might actually have a good team. It's crazy how much better Brock looked in one game vs. DJU's first 5 games with us. Which makes me question our coaching staff even more. DjU should never have been looked at to come here.
The "dark magic" of the portal and it's alluring temptation of "instant success." Turns out, Dabo was right last year to be suspicious of it.
Brock Glenn will be your starter next year... with no weapons. Most likely won't hit again out of the portal and high school kids won't come in and help contribute to compete in year one: it's going to get ugly for Florida State the next few years. It's the beginning of the end for Mike Norvell. I love how eveybody is acting like the result and game didn't play out the spot on exact same way it did with DJU.
If you would've put Brock in halftime Memphis. He wouldve beat Clemson. He showed me something.

Without your RedZone D, it would have been a lot to a little. Brock looked much better than DJU. This is very similar to how Cade eventually supplanted DJU. I knew when I saw DJU transfer to you guys, it wasn't going to be good. He's a great guy, but just not a good QB and tends to sap the team's moral when he's playing. If you're WR could catch the ball it might have been closer. Good no quit mentality from your team. I think Mike needs to use the rest of this year to develop the talent and not focus on the record. We need more strong teams in the ACC all around, so here's hoping you guys bounce back next year.

According to IRA and COREY, everyone should be happy. No bowl game,no ACC championship,no playoff invite. Vanderbilt just beat Alabama and put 40 points on the #1 team in the country. What FSU fans got to be happy about again what those this team has to be happy about again smh.

Mike couldn't act like Brock and the other young guys did good.... because then the next question is "Why were you so stubborn and take so long to make the changes."
Sir, I suspect that their are many Seminole Booster's and NIL supporters that have been asking that same question.
Imagine if half of his passes weren't thrown on downs when everyone in the stadium knew a pass was coming? Imagine if they had a few designed QB draws (or QB kept it on the option) or some wildcat to open things up and give Clemson something to think about? I tried to warn everyone last year when it was obvious that JT wasn't going to run anymore; defenses figured it out, and our offense really struggled even with the NFL talent we had. Predictable play-calling and trying to enforce your will only works when you have the dogs to see it through, and few ever do. Every Saturday you see offenses moving the ball and scoring points against similar or better competition, so when we can't do the same against teams that supposedly don't have the talent we do, there seems to be no other conclusion than the coaching just isn't there. The preparation, evaluation, and scheming are all failing miserably.

Its just a shame we are excited about our offense looking better with a qb on our 4th loss of season in 5 games after last 2 seasons. Norvell does not playcall for his qbs and the penalties drops and bad snaps cannot happen, this staff is not good enough period no recruiting no development just hoping transfers workout

Sir, I think you hit the nail on the head. Alford took a shot with a very young and relatively inexperienced Norvell (only 3 season @Memphis as HC). Unfortunately for NoleNation and Norvell, Brock's game stats/performance confirms what the vast majority suspected. (1)Norvell is in over his head and plagued by a "mental state" that prevented him benching DJU. (2) The portal is more like "dark magic," yea it may "fix" an immediate issue but the longer term consequences can be deadly to a program. It is, as you rightly point out, NOT a substitute for solid recruiting and actual player development.

I loved what I saw from Brock, given the opponent. If Williamson and Portier could catch, the score probably would have been different.

It wasnt good, it wasn’t up to standard but Brock looked better than DJ. The defense while on the field a ton, made some great effort plays n held up in the second half n looked like it was really trying. So not good enough, but there are things to build on

I watched some of it but not much 5 or 6 minutes before half time brock complete a pass that a receiver made a very good catch but the offense lineman took a defensive lineman down and got caught for holding another mistake on another Saturday good luck i do not recognize this team

I wish coaches wouldn't get hammered if they admitted mistakes. I'd tend to give Norvell the benefit of the doubt if he came out and said playing DJ was a mistake and i take full responsibility. Now we will build for the future. Regardless of NIL, the kids who want to play and show it, will play.

BG is exciting in that Chris Rix way......I'm not exactly confident that we'll win a lot of games any time soon because of the team around him, but he at least gives you a chance and shows a heart to compete. The "all-business" QB types, and we've had some here at FSU, are not only boring but when the game isn't going according to plan they just kind of roll with it and take the L. You get the sense that BG really wants to win, and he'll leave it all on the field trying to do whatever he can to move the ball.
I've been around long enough to get the Rix reference. He was a scrappy player with a ton of heart. Miami seemed to have his number, but the 37-0 beat down of Notre Dame was special and the game winning pass to PK Sam @UF was one of the craziest moments in the rivalry.
@@Jay-et7ur Yep.....good memories. I think Bobby Bowden said something like "when Rix drops back to throw the ball you feel like something good is about to happen...you just don't for which team". You can't win them all and for the down years I'll take a team of scrappers with moxie vs a bunch of guys counting down until they try for the NFL anytime.

@@Jay-et7ur Don't forget S. Carolina yesterday, and don't forget 4 of the 5 teams that punched us in the mouth this year and stared down at us as we lie on the ground. Our "NIL" (man I hate what CF has become) is bigger than theirs, our recruiting class was "ranked" higher than theirs, but they did what is most important in the game of football....they showed their character and skill on the field.
@@Jay-et7ur I was trying to remember, maybe it was Rix's freshman year vs Miami? We had no chance according to the media, especially with a FR QB (might have been first at FSU under Bowden if I remember) but he used his legs and arm and guts and we were actually in the game for a while. We need to sign guys that not only can play, but "love" to play and want to win every down.
He seems a little sensitive about leaving DJ in for all those games. It’s almost like Brock’s performance exposes his bad decision.
If there were a prize for comments, you would get one, as you are spot on. Norvell's insecurity/ego is on full display. Regrettably, the program is paying the price.
Yal shoulda addressed the drops. Been a issue all szn and today we had about 3 crucial ones but had like 10 total it seems but 3-4 catches that coulda changed the game absolutely choked on the catches 😡

I am just asking. Is coach storm doing a good enough job with the strength and conditioning? The oline looks weak. And there is always players hurt.
The entire coaching staff is NOT "doing a good enough job." That said, I don't think the issue is conditioning, it's poor coaching (technique training) and player development across the board combined with a HC that is in way over his head.

Yes, as the defense has it's own unique set of problems, and it can be mostly attributed to poor coaching/development, however much of the poor play after the first 2-3 games rest with the players. (1) They can't get themselves off the field, they are ranked 123 on 3rd down stops (2) ranked 95th against the run (3) 73rd against the pass. To be clear, Clemson is a solid team, and it's current ranking of 15 is not unreasonable. However, they are not an offensive machine either ranking 40th in passing and 86th for rushing this year. So yes, the Nole defensive play (thus far) has earned the criticism it's getting.

I will agree 3rd down defense is bad. But those guys are tired of getting stops then going right back on the field.

Don't worry guys I have FSU undefeated in College football 25 but with DJ U and our running gameis incredible ironically the defense is still trash when I let computer choose the plays.
Brock Glenn has a better arm than we saw last season, but until Norvell's option is actually an option with the QB pulling the ball and running the running game has ZERO chance, especially with a garbage O-line and a 5th yr senior center who makes for plus horrible snaps. Then there's the defense which cannot tackle. Difficult to watch.. They need Pop Warner level coaching to teach them fundamentals.
We win the rest of the games with Brock. DJ would have been sacked 5 times. We would have two more wins if they went to Brock earlier in the season.
