I just realised this was a dark theme which would've aligned with Halloween which is around the time the group debuted. This really was the OG debut song 👀
Agree. They did not release it because the group is not yet complete, YG knows it's a banger but they wanted to release it with all the members being there.
Love how they still implemented the original concept which is a dark gothic-ish halloween.
You're actually right. SHEESH was supposed to be their debut song, if it weren't for Ahyeon being on hiatus during the original debut of BAEMON last year

people forgto that since blackpink is Girl crush and ikon giving ballad/ hiphop which doesnt have dark vibes, YG's 3rd gen releasing party/ballad trilogy vibes (ikon, sassy/classic hiphop (bp) and winner with multiple concept like very deep and the same time fresh / easy to digest concept.

I really liked the intro, and like you said -- even the spell out of B A B Y M O N... the song overall was enjoyable, BUT as soon as the beat dropped all I could think of was so this is Black Pink version 2. I know this is YG sound and perhaps that's why I can only listen to their music in small spurts. The girls themselves looked and sounded incredible though. Congrats for them.
