my skoda slavia 1.5 dsg automatic gives 9-10 in dehradun city(hometown) and 12-13 in noida(job city) and mileage increases by 2-3kmpl if ac is turned off.. on highways if you drive at around 100-110 .. mileage is around 19 and if you drive 75-85 mileage increases to 23-24.. i have tested tank to tank and the mid was actually showing lower then actual value.. if you drive without rush.. it mostly runs on 2 cylinder mode in city.. the nexon petrol costs Rs 4 lakh less but in a long run kausaq and slavia can be more economical then this one... well my slavia is 148 bhp and 250 nm torque and nexon is 118 bhp and 170 nm torque..
@@indian-jc5bo well people buy cars for different purpose.. i too liked scorpio n but waiting was around 10 months.. so didn't even test drive it. but it's a 7 seater and i needed a 5 seater.. but i see people buy such a huge suv and for family of 2 to 3 just to own something that gives them short term pleasure.. in long term it becomes the white elephant ..being a diesel it's life would be also 10 years in most states..so petrol with 15 years sounded a better deal.. when i was buying car mg astor was better in every way .. but it's mileage is 12-13 on highway and vw engines provide 2 cylinder technology on 1.5 engines that increases mileage by upto 80-90% when driven at steady speeds or with light foot.. and so decided to go with stable car with good grond clearance and mileage in petrol..
@@inpursuitofhappiness366 ya i agree baleno has enough safety to send you to heaven in accidents at high speeds.. also it misses out on certain factors like electronic differential lock and slavia have 5 more safety features then beleno that can save a person's or family life in case of accidents.. my slavia had accident with belano where baleno hit it from behind.. i had a minor dent while his coolant box was broken.. for me i think no reparing was required but for him 2 weeks service was required.. such a build quality it has .. it is sure to give someone repair headaches and higher death chances in a long run.. i get around 13-14 in city and in highway it depends.. on rash driving and high speeds around 16 and if driven with care and around 85-100 around 20 .. along with safety features and i have seen how well build it is.. jaan he tho jahaan hee..
@@inpursuitofhappiness366 a friend of mine owns a virtus gt.. he drives like 75-85 and in city on light foot and ac at 24 .. and gets around 23 kmpl mileage.. he has even got mileage of around 26 on virtus gt with constant 75 speed and without ac.. so if you are focused on mileage you can still get it.. you don't need a paper build for that.. but i find like when you drive a car 80% of time you focus on mileage and get good mileage.. but sometimes you want to drive like a lion and do a lots of overtakes and this car slavia/virtus provide so much stability in overtakes and high speed you have that option open too.. also in hills you can get extra power at difficult slops .. i was driving on hills recently .. a maruti grand vitara was struggling with 5 passengers to move upwards.. and my slavia with 5 people crossed it without any hiccups with ease and i didn't even feel lack of power anywhere while overtaking.. or going uphill..
Tata is not able to provide a unit for reviewing purposes which doesn't have a lag or glitch free infotainment system which does not have such glaring panel gaps, just imagine what quality these car will have which are actually sold to the customers. They know this quality issues will be showcased by the automobile revewers even so they are not able to resolve this issue. They did not make any changes to the engine or performance all they had to do is change the looks and design. These cars are not cheap in price. They are not new in the game. They are in the private car industry for more than 20 years and still they are not able to fix these issues. Are they really capable?? If not so then first TATA should think about introducing a facelift in their design team.

Worst thing about Nexon, it does not get a proper functional cupholder,Tata you can keep your wireless charging because cupholders are much more important and needed.

Nexon may not be as reliable over 12-14 years. Grand Vitara is a competitive product but I’ll recommend Elevate because it has more space, better ride and the i-VTEC engine is better than Suzuki’s K15C mill. Reliability wise both should fare well.

No matter how good Tata cars are, I wouldn't ever purchase one again. I purchased an Altroz diesel recently and I am facing multiple issues without any resolution from the dealer. The service centre cares only about closing the complaint instead of resolving my issues. I love the car for its brilliant engine, light clutch, excellent seating, solid build and sure footed handling and ride quality but, I am not at all happy with multiple parts failures and rusting of engine bay in less than 6 months. Really unhappy with Tata Motors QA and QC. I am losing my time and peace of mind and I am unable to concentrate on my work since the last six months. I would recommend you guys to be careful with Tata Motors . I have never faced DPF issues but facing recurring issues with AC, service quality and also suffering due to bad assembly from factory itself.

Tata is improving day by day to be in the competition but still lacks with refinement levels as Compared to Japanese or korean brands. The panel gaps with glossy look materials knowing the fact of Indian conditions Japanese and Korean are way more practical in designs quality and material. Tata should focus on material quality along with Engine refinement little more.
Paddle shifters are only useful if you are driving in a race. I mean where the pedal is to the metal. When your shifts match the rpm, then there wont be any lag.

Amt works like a manually operated gearbox, but the shifting is done by car automatically using sensors, and thus shows a lot of lag. Dca allows dual clutch plates, that is even odd clutch plates for the respective gears, allowing better transitioning.
I made my plan to go for Tata nexon this time however the screen lag, touch buttons inconsistency of gaps with glossy finish on steering have hold me back again. I mean imagine who would install ppf on steering part unless I am getting complete car ppf done and wastage part is being used for small glossy parts.
Tata has brought a lot of change in just 25 years of automobile business. Its new comparatively to other brands which has been lot longer. Now they need to up engine quality a little more to match kireans n japanese. Rest is history

Bad mileage. Our magnite turbo with cvt gives more than 17 kmpl on the highway with ac and full load
Mileage only 10 km per litre is very less.
Unfair review. You should be blunt if things are not okay. 10km average is really poor, infortainment is really laggy.
