As an adult, when I revisit shows that made me laugh when I was a kid, I often find that there is something lacking. It just isn't as funny as I remember it. Except for Perfect Strangers. I laugh as hard now as I did when I was a kid! Harder, in fact, because I fully get the humor now. The slapstick made me laugh back then, but, it is the finer nuances that get me now. It really was sophisticated, high class comedy!
No matter how many times I've seen it, no matter how down I may feel, watching this show makes me laugh everytime. I don't think there will ever be a funnier or better comedy for me.
The dynamic between the two was amazing. It's like mixing water with water. I miss that show. It's a shame they didn't release the remaining 6 seasons on DVD. It's still my #1 favourite show in the world.

My then roommate and I played Boochi in a parking lot after we left the nightclub like 2 in the morning and we were laughing so hard chasing each other! Just signed up for Hulu, why? For this show. One of my favorites back in the late 80’s and it really holds up well. Physical comedy at it’s best! So much fun. This TV Show was the best show ever of all time to me and Mark Lynn Baker is a comedy genius. His character Larry Appleton is the best ever. I would love to meet him and get his autograph and get a picture with him. My favorite episode was the one where Larry takes Balki to the dentist and the laughing gas.

I remember my dad coming home to me in tears of laughter watching this and when he asked what was so funny I responded "Oh just two grown men playing tag"
I love the 2 of them!! 💙 There is nothing more cuter than the 2 of them!!😁 I think I said this before but I'm going to say it again, I'm so glad they are friends, and you can tell on screen they're not just on screen friends but they're real life friends. Bronson had said many times that he had shot the pilot six times before Mark had come on to shoot the pilot because he had said there was just no chemistry with the other actors and I don't know who the other actors were except for one, the original actor they had playing the other role which was going to be named Lou or Louie I believe, was actually played by Louie Anderson but there was no chemistry there and I don't know who the other five actors were before Mark came on, but Bronson had said that immediately when Mark came on to shoot the pilot they were instant friends. And they are still friends now Mark is 67 and Bronson is 62. I believe Balki wasn't always going to be called Balki I think his character was going to be called Zev I think or Rev or something with a Z?? But Bronson had said he doesn't answer to Zev. His sister had a dog named Balcony and she used to call him Balki I think as a nickname or something and that's how Balki was named. I think their chemistry is 100% spot on!! I love when they do the little dance numbers together too my favorite is when they're singing You can't touch This!! My favorite episode is season 2 episode 11 it's called A Christmas Story and I cry every time I see that episode 😭😭😭😭 especially when Larry and Balki are talking near the end.
I purchased the complete series (150 episodes) for free using my Microsoft points and now watching it in HD on my big screen. Best thing to do during the current coronavirus lock-down.

I wonder if you cognify why it is that that "look" is so appealing to those who have a thing for them. -?- Sometimes people see something appealing but don't know why.
I wish this show would come back, but in a sad comical sort of way. 2 divorced cousins go back to sharing an apartment, but this time there's kids, grandkids, ex wives, and geriatric pain to contend with. We would just have to make the characters a bit older than they really are.
I wish they would make wholesome sitcoms again and not random tv shows that are not creative and little to no effort in creating. I love shows like Perfect Strangers.
Bronson Pinchot was great as Balki, but I must admit that his Jean-Luc character on Step By Step paled in comparison. Maybe, it's just me but Balki was a tough act to follow..

What makes this scene so funny is when you realize that Larry's laughter isn't scripted, and that they're both genuinely having fun in this scene.
