I don’t know if the devil or myself, or maybe GOD predetermined it, but I hate that I lost my good lifestyle that had financial freedom and everything came easy and fun for me. I lived in a great city and even had hobbies and friends, and as soon as I started to lose basically everything, I fell into a deep depression. I know that they are just material things but they allowed me to live a free lifestyle without a 9 to 5 that I hate. I did that for over 20 years. I don’t know what to do because the regret and the depression has led to drug abuse. I feel lost and regret and I hate life now. I hate to admit that, but it’s true.

I know the Lord is able to save, but then I start to think maybe I just lean in the direction of that religion because that’s what was taught to me as a child. IT IS THE DEVIL'S STRATEGY of pulling you down into depression and self condemnation and doubt and unbelief about your salvation. Confusion, fear and depression is never from God. 1 John 4:18 says, "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love". I pray that you get to experience the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The heart in you that wants to make things right with God , is God Himself trying to draw you to Him. Yield in my friend. You need not do anything. Just believe and surrender. The Lord will tell you then what you should do. Remember Jesus told the disciples to first 'Be' with Him and then He told them to 'Do' things in His name. Don't pressurise yourself with the to do list. Just be in His presence wherever you are- in your cab or work place or on your bed , it's okay my friend, just call on to Him and He will talk to you. I have been in a situation like this and i remember how badly I wanted to come back to God but felt inadequate and unholy. But who can redeem us if not for Christ? Who can purify us if not for His blood? I pray , i really pray that you go back to your God and my God, to your Savior and the World's Savior. He's just too eager for you my friend. Just go. I don’t know if the devil or myself, or maybe GOD predetermined it, but I hate that I lost my good lifestyle that had financial freedom and everything came easy and fun for me. I lived in a great city and even had hobbies and friends, and as soon as I started to lose basically everything, I fell into a deep depression. I know that they are just material things but they allowed me to live a free lifestyle without a 9 to 5 that I hate. I did that for over 20 years. I don’t know what to do because the regret and the depression has led to drug abuse. I feel lost and regret and I hate life now. I hate to admit that, but it’s true.
Never give up, friend..
Many go through such battles
Some through tougher and stronger
But the Lord is ABLE to save.

@ thank you for speaking kindly, and the more I reflect on the way I had lived my life in seeking pleasure and even sexual immorality, I doubt if I ever really was a true believer. I know the Lord is able to save, but then I start to think maybe I just lean in the direction of that religion because that’s what was taught to me as a child. I have to, reconsider anything I was ever taught and try to look for the truth and ask for discernment

Dear brother/ sister in Christ, I am sorry that you feel this way and i pray that you get to know the love of Christ for you. It is NOT you or God that is making you feel this way. IT IS THE DEVIL'S STRATEGY of pulling you down into depression and self condemnation and doubt and unbelief about your salvation. Confusion, fear and depression is never from God.
1 John 4:18 says, "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love".
I pray that you get to experience the Love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The heart in you that wants to make things right with God , is God Himself trying to draw you to Him.
Yield in my friend. You need not do anything. Just believe and surrender. The Lord will tell you then what you should do.
Remember Jesus told the disciples to first 'Be' with Him and then He told them to 'Do' things in His name.
Don't pressurise yourself with the to do list. Just be in His presence wherever you are- in your cab or work place or on your bed , it's okay my friend, just call on to Him and He will talk to you.
I have been in a situation like this and i remember how badly I wanted to come back to God but felt inadequate and unholy.
But who can redeem us if not for Christ? Who can purify us if not for His blood?
I pray , i really pray that you go back to your God and my God, to your Savior and the World's Savior.
He's just too eager for you my friend.
Just go. Just be in His presence. You'll be well.
