      u get a quest from dalaran pet shop if u have a couple of lvl 25 pets I believe

    • @DarkPoisoneer
      @DarkPoisoneer 6 лет назад

      and easiest way to get a free lvl 25 boost is doing the pet building in the garrison which give u a free lvl 25 boost when u unlock the building and this could be done on multiple characters an boost different pets since they are account wide and then u can then catch pets at high level zones that are around 23 when u catch them and they are 2 levels away from max level

    Leveling the artifact weapon. I don't care if you got them all eventually, I like filling up lists! Plus the disc priest weapon for the 'mage tower' was SO PRETTY!

    I only recently restarted playing WoW, and just weeks ago got my first character to level 110, so I missed many of this (like mythic+ and mage towers), but my two absolute favorite features are
    1, the level scaling, which you mentioned
    2, the appearance collection, which is a completionist's dream, AND it's also tons of fun to dress up your character in an easily managable way.

  • @Traumatization
    @Traumatization 6 лет назад +3

    Guys, he said what the legendaries do and how they spiced up your otherwise 5 button rotation was cool, not how the system was implemented. And I agree. Having big drops that change the effect/enhance the effects/give new effects to abilities you might never use otherwise was awesome. Cold Heart (or something like that) for my DK was something I didn't expect when I first got it, and having a new ability to play around with was fun. But they just did a poor job of putting them in the game and not having any way for the playerbase to even have a chance for what they wanted. THATS the part to complain about, not the items themselves.

    The obvious reason why Blizzard didn't allow you to buy what ever legendary you wanted / needed is because if they allowed that, then why would you continue playing? You would hit a plateau where you have everything you want and your will to play would fade off rapidly. Creating RNG obviously increases playtime.

    • @gorrevisor
      @gorrevisor 6 лет назад +3

      Legendaries were so cool. They were so powerful in fact, that if one of your char didn't any or got a shitty one by RNG, you could've just deleted that since it won't do any damage/healing at all. Applies to some tanks too.
      It was also such an uber "legendary" and powerful feeling of accomplishment when dungeon trash dropped you one of these, like it was a common item.
      They were perfect.

    • @celic190
      @celic190 6 лет назад +10

      No, because it took so long to get the correct legendary my ability to want to play faded.

    • @Roni-uh9oq
      @Roni-uh9oq 6 лет назад

      I like the idea of how they have the BOA currency legendary system. You have to spend Currency, but you dont get to pick the exact legendary. It would have helped with secondary specs and alts. If you were able to get your BiS, you could choose to spend the currency on a secondary spec with out having to lose out on gear for main spec by having to switch loot type. And using currency to buy random class and spec legendaries would make playing an alt a whole lot less painful

    • @timstigation9684
      @timstigation9684 6 лет назад

      Silus Jackson Plus, buying specific legos like that is just a much less exciting version of the MoP/WoD system, which people really hated for some reason

    • @DiesenRing
      @DiesenRing 6 лет назад +1

      Timstigation 96 havent played MoP for most of the expansion but in WoD my problem with the legendary Quest was,that it is rng depending on the last quest with all the tomes you had to collect so if you were unlucky like me or made a short break you were behind like 2 or 3 weeks on the ring and this was a reason to get benched but the real problem was like rerolling or something like that because it was such a long questline and it was annoying to keep it up for every char

    Pro of scaling zones:
    -you can finally complete all of the zone's quests without outleveling it a quarter the way through
    -you can do those strange zones that you'd normally never go to and do those quests like feralas or winterspring
    -can play with lower or higher level friends if they're still in the zone range
    Cons
    -everything feels same-ish, you never feel like you're more powerful in fact you start to become weaker in a zone as you level unless you have heirlooms
    -huge war mode pvp range, lowbies can constantly get ganked by higher levels who are leveling in the same zone
    -unluckily getting queued into low level dungeons you already completed in group finder.

    I would have put mythic plus higher and pet battles lower, simply because once you did the weekly pet battle dungeon enough times to get the pets most people who did them never ever walked back in while m+ had a longer lifespan. Either way I agree with the content but not the order.

    The Illidan Xera cinematic is one of the best in any game in recent memory. And a large part of it was because of the subverted expectations. Too many redemption stories end in a cliche. This one was just great storytelling.

  • @muticere

    It's taken me a long-ass time to get into the social aspect of the game and I still struggle with it to be honest. I've been playing WoW on and off for about 10 years and I've barely ran any dungeons. Just in Legion I've ran more dungeon than I ever had and finally raided for the first time. So I hear you about enjoying WoW as a single-player experience.

  • @thomasreid7100
    @thomasreid7100 6 лет назад

    Although I never done the pet battle dungeons I did think they were cool, maybe adding Molten Core and Naxx for a pet battle raid where you use all 3 pets at a time in one big 3v2 against add pets then after killing them a 3v1 against the boss pet. Rewards could be a new lil'rag but his full body version and a lil'kt that summons undead critters as an idle animation or just randomly like the sunflower singing. Really see a lot of potential in pet battles after the dungeon was released

  • @ToraxReborn

    Best feature is that darkshore quests strongly promoted WPvP. And as a vanilla fanatic, nothing gets better than that. Unless they make stv to last til max lvl.

  • @tialsofuebjsoqoahdkdjcj2272
    @tialsofuebjsoqoahdkdjcj2272 6 лет назад

    While i think overall the level scaling for vanilla-wod zones was a good change, my biggest issue with it is it kills the feeling of gaining more power. If mobs scale with your level, you never feel like you’re getting stronger, and if the mobs happen to start out scaling your damage you actually start feeling like you’re getting weaker. It’s a small thing, but it’s by far my biggest issue with the level scaling.

    Artifacts were my favorite thing, and I'm really disappointed to go back to the shitty weapons that we've seen planned for the new raid. Order halls were also great. Seeing both sides come together like adults instead of endlessly murdering each other was really cool.

  • @ganondorf66

    The fishing artifact deserves a honorable mention. It finally gave me a reason to fish!

  • @Jcewazhere
    @Jcewazhere 5 лет назад

    Instead of outleveling a zone you now outlevel a continent/expansion. Kinda just moved the goal post. Also it removes a lot of the feeling of getting stronger. Without scaling you can go back a couple levels later and stomp on a mob that gave you trouble, with scaling you potentially have to wait quite a while before you can get that feeling.
    That said I am still mostly ambivilant about it, level scaling didn't break the game for me, but I didn't think it was needed.

It’s also content I could possibly do in case I get really bored but that hasn’t even happened yet during content droughts so idk maybe one day I will give them a shot.

    I agree with almost everything you said. As a long time player, I have the (dis)advantage of noticing trends. And as soon as Illiden came up I groaned. He was just going to be the Great Pickle 2.0 (Thrall). And as I thought, he was. Nothing raises my hackles in a game like that where there's huge plot significance put on an NPC. Especially the with the importance of the player being emphasized so much in the beginning to such an extent that they were to gain mythical weapons of such great importance that they alone could shape the world. It made that feel really underwhelming to me.

  • @The_Grimsun

    I think mythics for sure is my #1. I love group content and usually its hard for my group of friends to get a dedicated group of more than 5. So this was essentially our raiding in legion. That being said the elitist culture at the higher ranks did start making it less fun. Especially when the top of the mythics weren't actually all that hard by the time the elitists were running the game.

    2 things that frustrated me most about legion, daze and dismount killed me so many damn times if it was something that was always there I wouldn't have been so annoyed but all of a sudden my extensive mount training including flying in many environments all of a sudden a mob sneezes and I'm dismounted, and locking content behind mythic dungeons I skipped so many quests because I had to either do them in a normal raid or an often frustrating wait to find a successful mythic group.

    World Quests and the related things and the M+ CONCEPT are the only 2 i liked. I loved how M+ worked at the start of the expansion, where super high-end players offered free boost if you had an appealing key, because they would get AP and a chance at a legendary/titanforge proc. Once those people had no reason to do them anymore, it became a "get a 10 done and that's it for the week", which is a terrible design imo.

    I really liked the Pet Battle Dungeons but they weren't without their problems. The Wailing Critters battles were too repetitive and boring after the first few times and the reward sack had THREE different pets that could drop so you had to grind it (which you could only do it once a week per ACCOUNT) I like repeatable content, but I like repeatable content that you know when you can stop doing it, RNG the way the rewards were in WC was a big negative. They fixed literally ALL those problems in DM by varying the fights a LOT more and making it so the unique rewards were purchasable. Particularly awesome was that of the 3 pets you could buy only 1 had multiple breeds (and that definitely matters), but that pet only cost 1 bottle cap. That meant that every week you had a chance to get the breed you wanted and because there aren't THAT many breed combos it only took a few weeks to finish. Still I had to farm the boring WC dungeon for months after finishing DM trying to get that stupid Everliving Spore so that left a little bit of a sore taste in my mouth.

    I really hated Legion legendaries, I was the last in my guild to get one despite being active with emmisaries, dungeons and early legion raiding. RNG prevented me becoming as powerful as I could and a lot less useful compared to a toon with a legendary.

      Greenchili Studioz Thats mostly been fixed now. The worst parts (BC and Wrath) have had damage and health nerfs + increases to xp gains.

    i love hirus mentality so much! overdone things are so bothersome, and it honestly is annoying that Illidans story in a book differs from in game. i personally havent played that far. not yet.
    im busy with scouting map stuff, though i dont understand it im in 2/5 zones, in suramar, and it makes me want to die lmfao. there's so many things to maintain but i love it because im struggling so hard just to get it done. im starting to want to aim for getting the Nightborne race because i found myself in so much love with these elves- so ive a looooong time before i ever get to the Argus campaign ,_,

    I dont mind that you have a pet battle as number 1, its your list, I might not give a flying fuck about pet battles, but good for those who do.

    Personally I loved the expansion, especially since I truly got to go through it all! Buuuuttt... I’m a little pissed my class mount is a basically a Dalaran manhole cover with little lore significance. I mean it looks and feels nice, and isn’t a huge dragon so I can actually see stuff, but man I wish I could’ve gotten something like the monks tiger or the priests owl kitty :(
