Love your videos, thank you. Personally, I think a 60 day return policy is a problem. I can't walk into a store currently and buy something that has a 60 day return. I prefer a shorter return policy as a seller because the reality is, if something doesn't work , is broken or not what you thought it was , you will know that immediately and must return it immediately. I wouldn't want someone to use my item for 60 days then return it. Just my two cents.
Yeah I'm all for a 7-14 day return policy. I think box stores should keep the 31day or month policy because that caters to those who live 40miles away & since they don't have to ship to a specific address they need to provide something better than some one who is paying at-least half of the shipping costs on a return, sometimes both costs. Online even a 4 day from received date makes plenty of sense in my eyes. It's plenty of time to test basic functionality of what is received even with a full time job. Overtime possibly not but 9-5 with hr commute.
I agree that 14 days is PLENTY of time. I find it totally ridiculous to give 30 and more days. That's just giving free rental to the items for many dishonest people out there.

But because it's 10 days from when they ordered it they've changed their mind. Well there goes my livelihood or even worse who knows if I'll even have the power on after this winter. Well see. If I'd of had all the shipping money back from my returns in October alone that would pay a month of my electricity or a little more.

@@onlyluvisreal6691 I'm on buyer paid right now returns & so far my consensus is that it has killed my store. Free returns was giving me more income than I was losing. Since my research is so anecdotal though it could be fear & economy causing it as well though. Running a few other experiments before I go back, got nothing to loose if I'm not making hardly anything anyways.

Regarding return policies, "back in the day" a 7 day return policy was standard business practice, with the exception of appliances and electronics. These policies were for new items, not used.

I have been an eBay seller for 6 years. My sales have reached an all time low. How can I find merchandise to sell? Being a senior citizen, I can go from multiple flea markets to yard sales. I would learn to order from China. I am not sure how to get merchandise.
@@mattiecopeland8741 Yard sales can be great at times, but most flea markets are just filled with repeat sellers with mostly the same stock every week already at resale prices, as they can afford to wait for a higher priced sale later, unlike yard sales where people's main goal is to get rid of their stuff. If you must do flea markets, seek out and find new sellers who you've never seen there before, or become friendly with the rare repeat seller who's stock actually changes weekly. Even then, I'd avoid relying on flea markets as a main source, prices are far too high and sell through rate is far too low.
Long before I sold on Ebay, I remember having a garage sale every year for 4 years to get rid of my old stuff. I made almost 1K that first year, but by year 4 I didn't even do $100. So I took the remaining items and tried my luck at my local flea market. As soon as I arrived, the other sellers saw that I was new, and they huddled around me watching like vultures as I unpacked my car, making offers and starting bidding wars like they were on the floor of the NY stock exchange. I sold half my stuff before the flea market even opened, and when I finished unpacking they all went back to their booths and priced my items at 2x or even 3x what they bought them for. I didn't care, I already had a 9-5 job and was just trying to get rid of my extra stuff and make $$ on the side. Moral of the story is to buy these items when they're at a yard sale for dirt cheap and not at the flea market for "the special, lowest price I can give only to you my friend."
Whatever you do, please don't try to flip cheap Chinese consumer cr@p on eBay, there's already a dozen people selling this stuff on Amazon, only they have free 2Day shipping with prices 20% less than what you would have to sell them for on eBay just to break even. Instead stick to what you know(local sourcing) and branch out from there. (maybe try Thrifts like Savers on Monday mornings, or small-sized storage unit auctions etc...)
Finally saving the best advice for last, if you don't already use the Google Lens App, you need to download and start using it RIGHT NOW. Sourcing merchandise using Google Lens is like having the combined knowledge of every Technology Guru, Fashionista, Hobbyist, and Antiques Roadshow Expert who's ever lived in the palm of your hand; you have the power to instantly research any Animal, Vegetable or Mineral in existence. Soon you'll be drawing, pointing and shooting your phone's camera to source merchandise faster than a Wild West gunslinger in a shootout at high noon.
I listed a Louis Vuitton bracelet and it sold 30 minutes after I listed it. Now that's a good sell through rate lol

The 80 /20 rule applies to almost everything. 14 day returns has my support most of my returns come within a couple of days after delivery. Using some of your tactics has helped my sales. Thanks for all you do.
Refund coffee maker minus original shipping. It's the buyers fault that they didn't have the correct address. Relist item, buyer can update address and repurchase if they want.
They don't loose packages that often, most of those are people lying saying they didn't get it. I'd say 1/10 lost packages is actually lost. Rest is all either stolen & that is pretty small too most is buyers scamming you.

I think it wld be cool for someone to say start with 50 to 100 dollars and turn it into a full ebay business so u can show anyone can do it! Take 100 and reinvest and turn it into 10k a month. Do it !!!

Flipping houses is so fun I used to do that 03 to 2018, I would buy one to flip buy one to rent then in Colorado they made the laws a lot more tenant friendly I saw that writing on the wall, babysitting adults is not fun, i got the old real estate license and everything I got out of it when these prices got out of control just waiting on the next crash... one thing I did learn is I would fix these houses up for rent and say I wouldn't want to rent anything that I wouldn't want to live in myself that's a big mistake, just get it livable and rent it... after you're done renting it and going to put it up for sale then you put the nice stuff in, I don't care what they say about screening tenants it's going to get trashed it's kind of like your fragileaa game people don't have the pride that they once did

As many times as the USPS has lost my packages, I have NEVER had to pay or refund. Once we hand the package to USPS and get a receipt, the responsibility is out of our hands. The customer has to contact the USPS (or law enforcement in the case of possible theft). Please please please give out correct information. Other than that, love your videos.
