A great solution for those who want a rack mountable X32 with the control surface. The biggest flaw I can see if that it must be very difficult to use the layered faders without the LCD scribble strips...
As far as you know, the eight output faders can be configured as input faders to have 24 input faders at hand at the same time without having to change layers. It would be useful for live. With the compact model it is possible by pushing 1-8 and 9-16 at the same time even if it does not appear in the manual.
If you are really looking to do studio recording and have a live sound board don't buy the producer version. The Compact and the full version of the Behringer x32 is much better. It controls your Daw completely by starting and stopping your recording software. Trust me when I say, you will be glad you did. I use it with Studio One and FL Studio. I Love It.

Is compatible with Studio One 3 Pro? Can I assign channels to individual track of my DAW so that I can record indivudually every channels on different tracks of my DAW? Do I need to have a speaker amplifier to produce live sounds or it has a built-in amplifier?
I have a question about the outputs so far we have everything set up but now I can't control output 1 separately from output 2 We have 2 monitos and to mains, the mains are ok but on the output is what I'm having issues. How can I separate them where I can control them individually? Thanks

Hi, Jared. That is a great question! The X32 Producer and Compact version are compatible with the 32-channel digital snake. From what I am seeing though, the Compact version cannot be rack mountable. So I can use the 6 aux inputs as regular inputs so I have access to 22 channels without adding a stage box?

whats the disadvantage of this compared to the full x32 version?
No scribble strips is the real loser on this. Faders with multiple functions and no labels....big oversight and reason to ge the compact.

It seems to me that there Is not a digital output, is this right?
why would you want a digital output when it can record WAV files straight onto a USB drive and then you can import them into your DAW?
