Just because there's a lot of questions in the comments, we are making the first two gaming videos free here to show people the format so they can decide if they want to join the Patreon! Other than those two full length videos, this channel will be primarily shorts from the Patreon content.
I like how these two aren't just doing Metronome Battles but they were also reflecting on the past like apparently how they first met and even brought up a time in Mikey's Platinum nuzlocke.
Fun fact: If you zoom a bit further out on the video you can see that John very kindly gave Mikey a few cushions to sit on so he was tall enough to be on camera. Always nice to see PM7 looking out for his short friend. ❤

Correction: Golbat was the Second Pokémon he lost in his NUzlocke, he was upset because he sped up the battle, didn't notice the Spec Defence drop, then Shadow Ball killed. His first death was Staravia's to Mars's Purugly.

Can we all acknowledge that Metronome can select any move, even those that can't be learned by any Pokemon that are available in the game (such as most SwSh DLC moves still usable via Metronome in SV)

I do agree that arboliva has no right being grass normal but I appreciate the thought that its a normal plant for the region its based on, and was a staple part of the lifestyle of an entire other culture in the Mediterranean. It is indeed, a normal plant.

Bruh, we live in a simulation. When Mikey's Bigglyruff used Chloroblast and fainted, I went to Bulbapedia to check what the recoil on it is (it's half the user's max HP), and the image Bulbapedia has for the Chloroblast animation in Gen IX is SCREAM TAIL USING IT VIA METRONOME lmao
As someone who watched both channels rise to popularity (the BW2 Metronome Nuzlocke got me through the pandemic) it's super refreshing to see them return to this format 💜
Hearing talk about the Metronome Nuzlocke really makes me wish for another in something like Sun and Moon. Just love seeing the conversations that are more natural
Yeah, John's so good at playing the fool in JMC stuff that I could understand if his new viewers were surprised by his draft league past. It'd be like someone taking off their clown suit and putting on a martial artist getup right in front of you. I enjoy that twist.
I would take MML over MBF, because I think Mikey's commentary is even better when he isn't taking part in the battles. He tends to stress too much, see.
Just my 2 cents, but I died laughing for a legit couple minutes when I was watching that. You just kept staying gone, and I just kept laughing as it went along. Great content!
I love the narrative in the last battle of Florges hitting Slowbro with that super-effective STAB Power Whip and Slowbro just deciding “nope, taking none of this shit” and thrashing and kicking it into oblivion
