    Sorry about the squeeky chair issues! Trust me, it's even more annoying to me than it is to anyone else! My new office chair that I bought a couple of months ago broke. :(

    Thank you for having me (again). I had a blast discussing the lore of one of my favourite characters with you, Dan. I hope people enjoy our conversation. Esp. Elrond's dialogue with Aragorn is really moving and one of my favourite sections of Appendix A.
    I also make a post in my YT community tab tomorrow afternoon.

    39:55 "The dealing of death diminishes your power to heal" - great quote Chris, this gives an explanation why the surviving Noldor in Middle-Earth took less and less participation in physical combat over time

    A what a pleasant talk. -- 32:13 Dan, I think the reason why Saruman was elected leader was mainly that Gandalf refused to candidate, so Saruman I guess was the only option left... or was he? Hard to say if the obvious leader would be someone who spent more time recently in Middle-Earth than the Istari or an emissary of the Valar, sent to councel... is leading a council already overstepping the boundary of mere counselling?

    I clicked on this so fast! It's two hours long! I'll have to keep watching this later but I'm sure it's lovely 😊

    I say, lets do a video where all the comment section guesses what color hair Chris has. Lets start now... Blond. With glasses.

      I've never seen him either, but I've always imagined him with dark hair for some reason. Hopefully some day we'll get a face reveal!

      I can't opine about his hair but I believe his eyes are like Orlando Bloom/Legolas': sometimes blue, sometimes brown.

    More Elrond 💛

    Well we are given 1 detail about Elrond and Celebrian and that is that Elrond basically has a one sided thing for Celebrian for 2millenia. As in, he never talks about it to Celebrian atleast. Also we know from NoME that the only reason they marry "late" or in the 3rd age instead of the second is because of the war of the last alliance.

    Ugh....Where are the captions?

    • @ThePhilosophersGames
      @ThePhilosophersGames 2 года назад +1

      Sorry =/ It was a live recording, so creating subtitles is a lot of work (esp. if the recording is almost 2 hours long), because someone would need to write down all what we said or we would need to go through the automatically generated captions and correct them, which might be faster, but still takes a lot of work in a 2 hour long video.
      That is also why e.g. livestreams usually don't have captions (besides those automatically generated). For a scripted video we can just generate captions by uploading our script and YT does the rest automatically.

      RUclips's automatic captions might take a while to generate when videos appear. The captions are available now, but they're bound to be a bit imprecise.
      As Chris says, typing up captions for a two hour video is a serious amount of work, and I'm only one person.

      No need for captions.
