Thanks for taking us on this wonderful trip in the countryside. Green fields, horses crossing the road., fields being harvest and ploughed for planting even saw a green house. Beautiful homes and narrow streets. Watching from Jamaica 🇯🇲.
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it. From my experience riding buses, the drivers in England are courteous, if not all, most. Thank you for watching and commenting

A delightful journey. But probably not for the bus driver. I wouldn't like to drive a bus on narrow roads like that. Negotiating all those parked cars can't be easy. Love the daffodils that grow beside the country lanes. Great video.
WOW, what a fascinating 47 minutes. My wife and I have lived in Huddersfield all our 77 years, shared between the Colne Valley and now Kirkheaton. I worked at Bottoms Mill, Holmfirth for 30 years and drove the route from Kirkheaton to Holmfirth and back probably thousands of times, alternating between the New Mill - Penistone Road and Huddersfield Road - Honley route. Despite this we were both lost when you filmed the Oldfield and Primrose Hill area and the way into Honley Village even though my wife's brother lived there. It’s also amazing what you see from the top deck of a bus that you miss when driving. Many thanks for a great video.
I am new to your channel, after today’s ride, I certainly will return, really enjoyed the whole ride, bus driving at its best, thank you for posting, regards, Geoff.
Another suggestion if you find the time, Stagecoach service 28 from Barnsley to Pontefract. Similar to this one in that t's a lifeline service connecting Barnsley with some of the villages and small towns south of Wakefield but doesn't go near Wakefield itself. It's subsidised by mainly WY Metro and in part by Travel South Yorkshire.
Thank you for your suggestion. This one is my list to do, I just need to find the time as I've got to travel to Barnsley. Thank you for watching and commenting
This route is spectacular in the dark, on Winter Nights at the high points with far reaching views of the lights down the valley. I would also recommend the 314 Holme Bus route, especially from Holmfirth up to Holme !!!
@@busouting It isn't lawn bowling, it's Petanque, often known as boules. Common in France, less often played in the UK. Unlike crown green where the bowl is rolled on the grass, boules are thrown on sandy or gravel surface.
@@busouting It tends to be a campsite, beach or garden game in Britain. It looks like the social club didn't have the room for a bowing green (unless there's one round the back?) but the front was just the right size for boules. They seem to be enjoying it, anyway.
We need a double decker please, the views from the top are totally with it. There is no low bridge on the route and the buses have tree bars. Thank you for watching and commenting

Glad you enjoyed it. Narrow roads are part of the English countryside. There is no avoiding them here. The drivers do well negotiating them. Thank you

Excellent choice - lotsa hills, twisty no-centre-line roads, cyclists, runners even a bocce club (?). Tx.

In central Honley, at about 26:00, what game are the folk on the right hand side playing?
It's Lawn bowling. Thank you for watching and commenting

@@borderlands6606 Thank you for the correction. I definitely wouldn't have guessed it's a French game

😊
Needs a single decker through there, that bus is taking half the trees and bushes with it.

Buses like this are the reason why we still have villages. Take away the service and the community dies.
I'm glad they have this route. Thank you for watching and commenting
Brilliant
Thank you 🙏
