Like with Manga, you could be reading 10 books and maybe the MC gets stronger but progress might not happen as much. You literally get arcs being done in two episodes for this anime so far lol.
They didn't show the fight between Dongsuk and Il Hwan because there was nothing to show, everything was over in 3 seconds, taking into account that Il Hwan was handcuffed.
