Why not? I wouldn't really call it "attack dog" training, though I guess it can be called that. Its called schutzhund, ipo, bite work, or protection training. Rhodesian ridgebacks can be protective of their family so teaching them how to respond in certain situations can be important. A dog must realize that even when things seem dangerous, it must listen to commands from the owners. In bite work training, a dog learns when to attack and when to stop. So its good for teaching dogs to protect their family while also teaching them that they still have to be under the control of the owners.
