My books are alphabetical. They will a l w a y s be alphabetical. But I still struggle with arrangements (stack em or not? What about multiple authors? What about anthologies?) I only recently became satisfied by the arrangement but now I'm almost scared to buy new books and mess it up!

Faryal S lol I can't imagine arranging books alphbitcaly sounds too hard and yes easy to mess up!
Faryal S Personally, with multiple authors, I use the first author listed (ex: Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman is under P) and with anthologies I use the editor (ex: Burnt Tongues edited by Chuck Palahniuk is under P), but that's just me 😊
so are mine with the exception of a small pile of my historical fiction and war novels that look very aesthetically pleasing together and the two novels that i own written by multiple authors

Goodness I cannot imagine the time and effort that went into this. Your shelves are gorgeous. Thank you for showing them to us. I love all of the little touches and hope to one day be able to do my own. I love hedgehogs and it's cute that they are on your shelves.
I like to keep books by the same author together, keep classics together, series together, and also a section for signed and "pretty" books. They are scattered all over shelves in my apartment but my most favorite authors and books are in my bedroom.
I think this will forever be my favourite bookshelf video. It's just awesome! I want aaaaall of your books 😍😍😍
I literally sighed happily when you mentioned the Spiderwick Chronicles. Brings so many memories. My brother used to read those books to me when I was scared at night to help me fall asleep.
I love that each Bookshelf tour shows the readers personality and has things from their childhood aswell. I would totally have a whole wall of bookshelves if I had room, maybe when I move out lol. I was so excited to watch this! yay!

The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles!! I was obsessed with that book as a kid.
I was also obsessed with Spiderwick when I was a kid. Definitely what got me into books.

Bookshelf goals. If I had both the space and the money this is what my bookshelves would look like. Your arrangement pleases me so much. After watching your bookshelf reorganizing video, I looked at my book shelf and realized how unorganized it was. I took my book shelf apart and it took me 7 hours to figure out how I wanted it and actually put it back! I loved your book shelf tour! 📚

Oh, Fredrik Backman! As a Swede and a huge fan of him, I get very excited when his books are in someone's bookshelf :D When his new book comes out in English, you just HAVE to read it! It's honestly one of my favorite books. I think it comes out in April (it's called Beartown)

I organize my bookshelves by series. I have all my Doctor Who books on one shelf currently since I've barely scratched the surface on them, Wheel of Time is also on a shelf by itself, my fairy tale stories with a twist themed books are currently on their own shelf, any solo or incomplete series are on their own shelf, one shelf I've got dedicated to Brandon Sanderson and is also hosting the few comics/graphic novels I own. There's also one whole shelf and a partial hosting my leatherbound books from Barnes & Noble which I plan to organize by color in the future. That's just on my books, I have a whole case that's just DVDs, two shelves dedicated to Doctor Who dvds and now one I'm starting that's for my Shout Factory stuff but is currently Power Rangers/Super Sentai.
This is the first bookshelf tour I've ever watched on RUclips! I'm intrigued, and I'll probably spend the next six hours watching as many more as I can! I've got to ask, where is that H journal from?

Currently I'm organizing mine by genre so that way I can keep series together, but rainbow shelves sounds so nice. I may have to try that soon.
because 2 bookshelves and 3.5 copies of the Harry potter series is VERY necessary! (not being sarcastic). my original set is mixed up b/c 1-5 was from one set, and 6 and 7 are hardcover and it drives me bananas!! especially with the new illustrated versions coming out... so needed! in other words I thank you for validating my sanity ❤ #newsubscriber lol

Favorite shelf was definitely the Shadowhunters shelf C':
I have about three small shelfs of books so the first is all my hard backs with the Red Queen series being displayed. A Twilight shelf, with all the hard covers, a Twilight game, the first two paperbacks, and the first two movie, behind the scenes, companions(?) and the last shelf is just all my paper backs.
Not sure if you noticed, but you also have 2 copies of "the sun is also a star" which sit in different places 😄
Anyways, I really love your shelf!! Definitely gave me some ideas for my own. Wish I had as much space to organize 😅
You should totally add The Mara Dyer Trilogy to your collection!! Litterally the BEST books I have ever read in my life!! I cried an awfull lot reading them, I recommend it!!

Madeline was my favorite book as a kid. My mom and I used to read it everyday.
There's something so relaxing about watching bookshelf tours. They're all so pretty. Currently my shelves are divided in books read (these are organized by auhor) and TBR books, which is organized a little by color, but mostly by size. I think I'm going to rearrange it all soon, since I got another little shelf to add to my collection. We'll see. :)
Anita Lind I completely agree, I love watching them too! I'm thinking of trying out unread vs read books at least once, but I feel like I'd have a hard time separating my series 😂
I know. It's definitely also weird having the series separated. But it's also really nice watching the progress as they're being read.

Whoa! Love the collections and details. Just curious, how do you keep your books as clean as new? Your shelves are open as well. Do you clean them daily or weekly. I've the same shelves in brown.. it really gets dirty the second day I cleaned it

I watched the City of Bones movie and hated it but now that I have forgotten mostly about it (I literally don't remember anything about that movie anymore) I'm definitely going to try and read the Cassandra Clare books since my Mom was a big fan of them. Is it really as great as everyone says because if so I'll be on the fan train.
How do you keep your shelves clean, like with dust gathering. I clean my shelves every week and dust is still everywhere!!??
