It appears to be the easiest way to shame people who aren't vegan. I notice i rarely hear vegans speak about the horrors of pet ownership. That's a harder angle to press. Meat eating is low hanging fruit basically.
No matter how many times you tell someone that they're paying for the slaughtering of innocent animals in the most horrific ways they still don't care so it is hard at times to respect someone who has the mentality that they don't care about anyone but themselves. I personally am angry at the meat and dairy Industries for lying to people for so long. You're right in the fact that both meat eaters and non meat eaters need to stand up for the animals and not put up with the lies and greedy corporations anymore.
It's not even that those people only care about themselves. Their cognitive dissonance is so strong that they don't even see farm animals as 'others'. The most kind people can still be carnist due to their upbringing. It is essentially the result of carnist indoctrination.
You are correct. We don't care because we don't consider animals our equals. They are a resource that we use to our benefit just like any other resource.
@@SickSkilz so I suppose you might say the same thing about slavery right? By your logic it served a purpose right? You would be wrong. Animals are innocent sentient beings and deserve respect. Man is the most invasive species on the planet. You were given a moral compass for a reason to know right from wrong. Morality is always subjective to an oppressors perspective. Have you even watched the documentaries Pignorant, Dominion and Cowspiracy? It is scientifically proven that they feel the same things that we feel as far as joy happiness sorrow fear pain and suffering. If it's not necessary to hurt them then why do people still do it? I have not eaten meat in over 30 years and I'm healthier than most people my age and I look 10 years younger. Even though I work around all meat eaters they still try to show respect towards my choice because they know that it is an admirable one. It takes someone very strong to not put their taste buds over a life.
@@SickSkilz If I don't consider you my equal, does that mean I can violate your rights? Who said that non-human animals are resources? We used to consider people resources too, and that is why we had slavery. What is the difference here? Species? The same can be said about race then.
Why are we calling animal abusers "meat eaters"? What does eating meat have to do with riding horses, macerating baby chicks, paying for cows to be forcibly inseminated, wearing skin and fur, animal testing...???
I love when they say it's all a matter of respecting each other's choices! They love not to have someone constantly remembering them that meat are made of dead bodies! They want to do imoral things and not having someone to remember them of that!
Obviously, I don't hate meat-eaters - just a few years ago I was one myself. But let's acknowledge that getting mad about a cat being kicked while defending the slaughter of other animals is peak hypocrisy, absolute clown behavior!!! It deserves to be mocked! 😂
The hypocrisy is vegans ignoring the fact they cause more death than people who eat regeneratively farmed meat. The crops used to grow your food cause ecosystem damage, habitat loss, farming equipment and pesticides deaths, plus look at how monocrop affects the environment. Grass fed cows, pasture raises chickens and wild caught fish and game are all sustainable and way more ethical. A single cow can provide 250kg of meat which would last most people over a year, people that only eat meat still wouldn't even get through the equivalent of two cows a year.
This attitude of yours is one of the reasons meat eaters don't take you seriously. Plants are alive and have intelligence too. Y'all are at peak hypocrisy and acting morally superior based in full delusion. Majority of meat eaters figured this out as children. The ones who weren't aware and didn't figure it out go vegan. I can't fathom how unaware of the universe I'd have to be to garden for my food and not figure out that plants are intelligent and deny the mountain of scientific research and evidence proving it. 😂
@@ryanwellington7493 Out of curiosity I checked the total calories of beef (usda figures for ground beef), and 250g doesn't even provide enough calories for an average female for the year. Plus, I live in a rural area, so I know what cows are fed. So, as per usual, claims that a plant based diet causes more deaths are absolute horsesh*t.
Maybe these kinds of excuses could be given for dairy and eggs but not for meat. Meat eaters are not so stupid as to think meat grows on trees. Even if animals were painlessly put to sleep, that is still murder. That is what we do to criminals in the U.S. No one is entitled to being liked. Everyone has a right to his/her emotions. What you should have said is, “Vegans should not express hatred towards meat eaters”. Then I would agree.
@@Nickh4929 What about one of the secondary definitions "to slaughter mercilessly"? People don't only use that word in the most common lawful sense. If anything, you should be taking it up with the people who use the word figuratively (even though that's in dictionaries too).
@@Nickh4929 And who defined "murder" like that? Noah Webster, a meat eater? So now a dictionary should be our moral authority and killing animals will never be immoral, and thus murder, because the dictionary says it is not? I don't know about you, but I don't get my morals from a dictionary.
Can't listen. Vegans deny plant intelligence and refuse to accept that basic fact while ignoring all research. Nobody wants to interact on a meaningful level with those who deny basic reality itself.
David that livestream was awesome this morning. I hope you do more. And your sentiment is SPOT ON. As vegans let's not aim the intensity/disdain at the person but aim it at the big money who laughs their way to the bank as people naively pay for violent systems and diminish their health...
Fair enough don’t get annoyed with and hate on people who are unaware of the abuse and or the fact they don’t need to eat meat... what about those people in my life, and I’m sure in many other vegan’s lives, who through association, are now fully aware of the abuse, nutrition facts and their own cognitive dissonance continue to support animal abusers... what about those guys?
Yes. Zero people in my life care. It's been 7 years. I quit talking about anything vegan.. animal suffering or human health aspects about 3 years ago. The more you talk about it in any way the less caring... in fact, the more hate they display for the messenger. It's the family gatherings and holidays that are particularly difficult because all centered around dead animals... and from a health aspect sugary junk food. It's helpful to just be thankful that my eyes have been opened and focus on my health and fitness. Also helpful to remember that for decades I was omnivorous like them.
I'd say it is still cognitive dissonance getting in the way. True psychopathy is rare and would be obvious in other aspects of life. Everyone else has empathy but just has not been able to connect yet. I was always a highly empathetic person but for years I made up justifications and dismissed things from my mind so I wouldn't feel bad.
@@elaineateoate1020 i absolutely here you out there… the hard part is keeping quiet… it’s not right, I’m 7 years in now too… slowly coming to the bleak realisation that my friends are happy to pay people to hurt and kill animals, and the more painful realisation that maybe I don’t want to be friends with people who pay people to hurt and kill animals…

No problem at all with people who have cognitive dissonance, or who do it out of true necessity (but truly honor the animal...) I have a huge problem with people who act high and mighty, proud, and righteous about it. The people who smile and laugh knowingly at the pain and suffering of animals, who say they don't care because it's delicious. Huge issue with that

I was in the livestream you had and I felt like I should've asked about your thoughts on meat eating in the early 1900s or late 1800s. There was no modern industry propaganda and factory farming in that time period.
I love this compassionate approach! Props to you! 💪💚 The only difference between vegans and meat-eaters - seeking and accepting the truth. In my case there were no vegans when l grew up. I didn't know about vegetarians either. I remember seeing photos of beagles used in tobacco experiments. There was a lot of outrage about that because they were dogs. I don't think it would have been the same if rats were used instead. I believe l knew deep down animals suffered for me to have meat and l remember the smell of blood at the butchers. But everyone l knew ate meat no one questioned it. So why would l? Personally l went vegan for laboratory animals whose suffering is in my opinion worse. I still remember seeing slides of monkeys with electrodes in their heads, kittens with their eyes stiched up, rabbits with red raw eyes. Lab animals are kept alive while being tortured maybe for weeks. Most of what goes on is hidden from our eyes. Were as we know far more about what happens inisde slaughter houses and the death is no postponed. People defend the use of animal's to cure sickness the way they still defend eating animals. Both are equally wrong and both cause immense suffering. These days people know more ignorance cannot be an excuse anymore.
Well said, David. This is an important message and I hope it will reach a lot of people who are vegan in their hearts and values (which are most unless they're psycho).
I’m with you on this David. Many still are stuck in a cognitive dissonance realm. Their actions aren’t in alignment. Filling the cup planting seeds is the way, otherwise division continues why else would we be advocating in the streets.
Vegans are cognitive dissonance world champs. They deny the overwhelming scientific evidence of plant intelligence. Hard to reason with people who deny basic reality. Vegans need soul mirrors.

how about the medicine us vegans consum? i take a pill daily for my thyroid (i’m a vegan of 6 years btw). for sure that medication was tested and experimented on animals at some point.
How about people who rescue a dog from an animal shelter? This is great, happy people rescue the dog and give it a happy life, but what about the animals that are being eaten that are disregarded. Dogs that are euthanized in shelter seem to undergo a much more "humane" death as opposed to whats happening in animal agriculture. Also what about feeding animals like dogs and cats? Just makes you think more in depth about whats happening when you ask questions like the similar to topic of the video. Keep it up with the thought provoking ideas and messages.
Vegans hate you. Animal ownership is slavery to them, and that constitutes barbarism in their worldview. They're better than you, and they constantly tell you that. Although, you don't have to take them seriously because they deny plant intelligence despite all evidence to the contrary. If they do it makes them blatant illogical hypocrites through their own delusional worldview. Until they sort that out asking for their opinions is like shaking a Magic 8-Ball. There's no rhyme or reason to the answer you'll get because they don't understand the universe as is.
Indirect killing of animals crom pesticide use on crops gets hardly a mention in the vegan community...yet the numbers are far larger than the animals killed for human consumption.
@dBakaj All species of animals, who have consciousness and bodily autonomy, should be granted basic rights: life, liberty, bodily integrity and self-determination.
@@barbaraibielis that why you still pay animals to suffer and be killed? Is that why you wouldnt bat an eye if you were to step on animals or wipe them with your car?
So let's all become apologists? I don't think so, veganism is not about keeping non-vegans happy and to be liked by them but about justice for the animals.
No, you don't have to become an apologist either. You can be direct and uncompromising in your message but still kind. You can hate what people do, without hating the people who do it. That can be hard, but I think it is most effective and therefore the best for the animals.
So it's better to be hated because you have no empathy for meat eaters who are or brothers sisters parents grandchildren grandparents' friends....I mean it's highly unlikely you are associated with all vegans? I understand how it is an insult when you finally realize the horrible terrible shit that happens in the industry, but change is slow and as sad and painful as it is there are better ways then dismissing 90% of humanity because you think it should be different now. It's not different now, but it will be. Being righteous won't help.
Of course we love the meat eaters, the typical question is, if you see a meat eater and a piggy in the ocean who would you save first? This is the question that exposes you as a vegan! While you waiting for the answer to the question are u a meat eater? I bet you're already cuddling the piggy. Goes without saying the water is'infested' with sharks too
Well the idea of animal rights is that we believe beings should be free from being preyed upon by humans who can just eat something else. Presumably you think you should be protected by law from being eaten? Why not a cow or a pig, what's the morally relevant difference?
I am not saying that animals are not abused however how many pesticides are sprayed on crops killing other vegetation, birds, bees, and other creatures and fouling water sources and the soil We should all stand together and improve farming practices and stop the animal abuse, together.
Most of these crops go to animals 😐. But anyway, that isn't the point, it is impossible to have 0 harm. But veganism does help another. And I mean ALOT
Don't believe for a second that people care about rodents, birds and insects killed by accident in crop fields when they are very comfortable actively paying for highly intelligent animals like pigs, cows and chickens to be mutilated, tortured and murdered. It appears to be the easiest way to shame people who aren't vegan. I notice i rarely hear vegans speak about the horrors of pet ownership. That's a harder angle to press. Meat eating is low hanging fruit basically.
Vegan forever💚💚💚🐄🐖🐔🌱🌱🌱
No matter how many times you tell someone that they're paying for the slaughtering of innocent animals in the most horrific ways they still don't care so it is hard at times to respect someone who has the mentality that they don't care about anyone but themselves. I personally am angry at the meat and dairy Industries for lying to people for so long. You're right in the fact that both meat eaters and non meat eaters need to stand up for the animals and not put up with the lies and greedy corporations anymore.
But meat eaters are supporting those corporations.
💚🌱
I love when they say it's all a matter of respecting each other's choices! They love not to have someone constantly remembering them that meat are made of dead bodies! They want to do imoral things and not having someone to remember them of that!
Valiant effort. Thank you for the different ways you try to open people's eyes.

Lmao
no just no

Most of us had a time in our life when we were not vegan and there is always room to grow.
@@ryanwellington7493maan please this has been debunked many times for God sake. Do your research.
@@davidiruya657 it really hasn't though and you don't even know what research means 😂, research means you're gathering data not interpreting it.

These days people know more ignorance cannot be an excuse anymore.

how about the medicine us vegans consum? i take a pill daily for my thyroid (i’m a vegan of 6 years btw). for sure that medication was tested and experimented on animals at some point.
We each make our choices based on knowledge. We try to do the least harm. What are you're choices?
Was it eating broccoli that made your beard grow so high up your face?
I guess it was carrots for the colour
