This is pure cheese, but a good evolution from the previous version. The street shot was taken from the 1997 opening titles. The font stays the same from 1996, but it's yellow now. The white-washed stills now move, the background shows shots from around Erinsborough instead of just Ramsay Street and the theme tune is a direct evolution from previous version, retaining the saxophone and key notes. There's also a nice homage to the original theme tune at 0:37, something they never did again.
I can understand why this version of the theme was divisive (though I have always liked it), but the closing credits are great. The only set to feature the characters in motion.
DynastyMoments Yeah I Iike the theme before this one too, almost equally as much, but I think I prefer this one because of it keeps all the positivity and energy of the previous version, but adds more dramatic twangs, stripping the theme of a bit of cheesiness. I think it changed at the right time (though the visuals introduced in 1999 SUCKED). I like the 2013/14 theme the least I think... it's too sickly sweet and lacks the 'cool' that the themes from 1992-2012 had. Even though the 1999 opening visuals sucked, the style worked nicely for these closing titles, having the characters moving about rather than still images.
