An A Star would cost more than a 206 or 500 but it has more HP and would pick up bigger loads, you would have to know all the specifics to run the numbers, but Im sure they wouldn't be doing it if they weren't making money.
Agreed. I'm sure they wouldn't be doing it if they weren't making money. I think the choice of helicopter model is a default...whatever model they operate the rest of the year, in November's off season they'll put it to work hauling Xmas trees to make a little bit of cash.

@@Houdi2 Well I know the Astazou had some reliability issues, but generally any helicopter with a larger engine and higher gross weight is more expensive to operate per hour than a smaller machine

Oh I see the A-Star helicopter. It is not too expensive to work with AS 350?????
