    Maybe with the new limit and size regulations your LA baby trout can grow up some before being harvested.

    Devin, just wondering what is the Jig Master’s favorite set up for fishin jigs with paddle tails?? I heard him say that the Diawa Tatula 100 was his favorite. Another great video!

    Devin I noticed that u seemed to try different baits even though u were catching the specks on a certain one and I like that, because I do the same thing( well that is when I used to go out regularly , now I haven’t been out in the 22 years I’ve been back home in Louisiana ! No one to go with anymore and no boat and I’ve begged more than I like to admit! Lol!)

    How do you like to tie your drop shot with plastics? I'm trying to switch to artificials. We went out in the same area yesterday and I was able to hit some on a carolina rig with plastic on a circle hook. Trying to get snag free

    • @LAFishBlog
      @LAFishBlog  4 года назад +1

      Hey Charles, thanks for asking. I wrote a guide on this very topic, detailing step-by-step how I prefer to tie a dropshot for catching speckled trout:
      www.lafishblog.com/drop-shot-for-speckled-trout/
      I hear you on the snags, but unfortunately that's just part of the game. You can certainly reduce the number of snags you encounter, but they'll always happen.
      I got snagged a bunch today. lol

      We launched out of Hopedale Saturday morning. He has live shrimp and is working off a generator. Pat the owner has plans to really improve what was a good launch before the storm and has started with a unique design for his store. We ran as far as Black bay and only caught two reds. It was a beautiful day and like the saying stands, if you don’t go-you don’t know! The storm has all the power lines down. They said it will be two months.

    • @LAFishBlog
      @LAFishBlog  4 года назад +1

      Hey James, I'd say the trout moved in 45, maybe 60, days ago. Glad you like the video!
      As for Hopedale and Shell Beach, I fished them yesterday and today. Yes, the fishing is good there. Caught a limit of specks today.

  • @garyglass6227

    I’ve watched a few of your videos and what disturbs me is the way you just throw all your catches in your boat and then go through them later when the little ones have died already. Not a good habit!

      All fish are released safely. Thank you for your concern.
