I have watched this review with bitterness because I failed to pre order her way back 2015 and since then the after sales market for this figure was ridiculous, glad Max Factory decided to re release her, maybe in line with the move (?) Whatever the case, she is not getting away from me this time that is for sure XD
Love the review, great presenting style! I saw this figure and came to you to check the review and it seems like a very nice figure, but...the current prices, WOW! Even if it is the best quality figure ever made, the prices are VERY high!
Love it! I'm a massive fan of SAC, too, so I'm definitely getting it. Here's hoping they do an EX-Ride Tachikoma! OK, that's never gonna happen, but it's a nice thought. More realistic hope might be that they do Batou next. He's too epic not to.
If you read the manga I thoought when you opened the chest piece a alternate robot shell would come out lol. Either way a great figure and like as always with figma's 100% anime accurate sculpt. Saber 2.0 next! Btw that figure has some issues
I was super pissed because I preordered this back in January on Amazon and when the release came around which was 3/18 apparently mine wasn't in stock like wtf.
Mecha Gaikotsu I like the speed. I feel like a lot of other figure reviews spend too much time dwindling and wasting time. You can tell here you put an effort into scripting it and figuring beforehand what you want to say. Anyways! Good job man! Another great review :)
A good review but not your best one. I think the main problem was how biased the whole thing sounded (which I'm not used to in your reviews) and how some of the stuff I saw (or you said so yourself) clashed with the final verdict and praise. I personally like this figma but it's nowhere near perfect; the articulation could be better, the sculpt on the third face looks slightly off and the hair being loose is an issue to me cause I've owned a few figmas with the same problem and it only gets worse. Overall it's a simple design with little complexity so compared to other recent efforts it's just average. I can't understand how figma guyver got bashed in comparison. Yeah, that one has some issues (mainly the wrong color in the chest piece and its small size for the price) but overall it's the better product IMO. Having said all this, I think Motoko is still worth having!
Novapoid I'm trying to work through a backlog so I'm trying to get the reviews done in about a 1/3 of the time to free up time for some bigger videos In response to what you're saying though, I definitely have no bias towards this figure, I like the original movie, but not particularly S.A.C. What I consider to be the overall point of a figure is to be an accurate representation of the character, and for the production quality to be as close to perfect as possible. From the last few figma I've looked at, this has the highest production quality overall bar the hair. Articulation is a design issue, but I wouldn't call the articulation overly bad here. On the other hand the Guyver I got was the worst figma I've ever lay my hands on, and the first I've ever had to order replacement parts for, hence the delay with the review. I'm waiting on the parts :D
Mecha Gaikotsu I see, then I'm looking forward to that review to see what went wrong ! Personally mine is just fine (though like I said, I did mind about the "wrong" color for the open chest and the less than impressive size for its price), but I understand how things work with figures that were mass produced sometimes. It's not like I was saying Guyver is amazing or Motoko is really bad...more like I don't think they're that far apart, and Motoko was certainly easier to pull off (imo). Finally, I'm not a fan of figma recently adding those soft-plastic parts to increase articulation, they can get warped over time...I'm thinking about figma steve rogers as an example. Thank you very much for your detailed response!
i have a small problem with mine, the lower right peg that snaps into the chest piece is bent/deformed to the left a bit, so i sticks out under the chest piece, you can't see it, but it makes the chest piece flimsy, i had to get pliers to cut it out, anyone else have this problem on theirs?
+Mecha Gaikotsu yeah, but the box & everything else is in perfect condition, so i know it wasn't foul play, probably just got warped from heat(?) anyways it's fine now but the chest piece(both of them) does fall out easily when trying to pose it, does this happen to you?
A lot of people seem to have the loose hair problem with this figure. My default hair is definitely looser than the windswept hair. However, mine seems to stay in place so long as I press it firmly into place when putting it on. Maybe I lucked out, because the issue seems worse for others.
6:35 That Pose-Face combination just cracks me up for some reason
Sucks that the singer for Ghost in the Shell passed away.. Awesome figure though, might pick it up some day xD

Coming to this from 2021... You've come FAR!
Love the review, great presenting style! I saw this figure and came to you to check the review and it seems like a very nice figure, but...the current prices, WOW! Even if it is the best quality figure ever made, the prices are VERY high!
Alternate "chest" piece XD
Awesome figure, so cool, good sculpt, I love Figma action figures. Great video and review man.
Regards!!!
Another great review! ;)
This figure doesn't like me that much, but it doesn't change the fact that it's done well. :D

Awesome review man! Love your reviews!!!

Great review. I am ordering my figure as I type
Another fantastic review!! I'm happy with the figure but I agree that another accessory would have been great.
domonon It's a bit lacking all right
Dude your voice reminds me of Comicbook Guy from the Simpsons,Badass Reviewer and the Major well she always speaks for herself.
lol I hear it too.

Can you do a review on how to use the layout on a stage? Im curious. Hehe
Oh look. The live-action is next week.
Mecha gaikotsu, are you going to get figma saber 2.0?
I was super pissed because I preordered this back in January on Amazon and when the release came around which was 3/18 apparently mine wasn't in stock like wtf.
The 2 chest parts look identical what's the difference between the regular and the other ones
is his a bootleg? cant tell if his stand says figma on it :o I got one like that once :/
dont rush, take your time, calm down
Adrian Tayag I don't rush, I just cut it all together afterwards like that

Mecha Gaikotsu I really appreciate the speed you do your reviews at, it's really entertaining and dynamic c:

AWSOME!!

god, how much Figma did you get per day? O_O
I just got mine and I have same hair issue
Ha! the first figma that i ever bought were this one and Guyver. -_-
Awesome :D
I find the ehm... chest piece also a bit loose.

What is the blue cutout for? You said...D I stage?
Vandoeun Long There are special stands you can buy for Figmas, and there's a slot to put those cardboard slides in for a "background".
Vandoeun Long qqqq
What's wrong with figma Guyver?
Watch his "review" if you could even call it that. (You'll know what I'm talking about
Where are the extra sets of hands?
Oh, wait, there they are.
(^O^)Ψ
Nice review, but learn how to pronounce her name correctly.
Dude...why are you talking like that ? What's wrong with you ? 😂
nice fake voice
Fake voice isn't really a thing
I have been away for WAY too long! XD Awesome review as always! My Motoko figma is on it's way today! :)
StupifyTheMasses Thanks! Enjoy it!

Yaoi Pervette I found it was the alternate part that stretched the hole, as that one fits in fine
Sorry I forgot what you said. I was...distracted.
Suppressor not silencer
