Indeed. It's one of the few constants that can bring any human being joy :) You're a gift Nathan and shoutouts to Yelle for the original song as well as Madeon for the sick remix.
Back in the day, my friends and I ate mushrooms one night and couldn't stop watching this on repeat and giggled all night! Those were some really fun times.
Nathan is definitely one of the most painfully underrated youtubers out there. Your dedication, your talent, your creativity, all of it is just so amazing. I swear, I’ve never seen someone with so much talent and entertainment value compared to you. Keep going strong, Nathan!! Thanks for all the badass memories :]
Agreed, The Drunkest Guy Ever and when Keith Apicary went to the Dance Audition, are by themselves defining of absolute Diamond quality entertainment...
Well said indeed. Isn’t he just fantastic?? And hasn’t given into the normal ugly shameful sh*t youtubers do to get views and subs. Which is probably why he’s not a zillionaire as he so much deserves to be. Ain’t that some sad stuff...? Man...😞😞😞😠
@@Nathan.BarnattWait - isn't _Dad_ just an ordinary and hard-working human _Quantum Father_ from _Town USA_ with absolutely _nothing special_ about him who occasionally dances for ten hours straight and loves having stacks of _Food Towels_ together with his _Wife_ and _Daughter_ whom he loves almost as much as _True Value_ and his _Neighbor?_
One of my favorite music videos of all time. The visuals accent the music perfectly without distracting from the tunes. It's one of those rare cases where when you hear the song first and you imagine the visuals in your head, and then see the music video later without it replacing the visuals that were in your head before! It's hard to explain but you can still just enjoy the track without imagining some lame music video; but when you wanna dance along, just throw this video on! idk why, but it's just magic
I was jamming to this song when it popped up in 2011. Started jamming to dad a few months ago. Only made the connection that Nathan/dad was dancing man in this video today xD
In 2011, I was fresh out of college, working a customer service job I absolutely hated and I'd watch this video to cheer myself up. Glad it's still here!
I have literally been obsessed with this video since it came out. I remember I was working a job in Ohio for a month when I first saw it, and I could not stop watching it. There is some thing otherworldly level addictive about this.
I finally found it again!! This brought me so much joy on my darkest days after my spinal cord injury 12 years ago!! And helped again today. Still lovely🙂❤
This dude totally embraces everything about the aging process. I don't know why we haven't seen Nathan pop up in sitcoms, etc. Imagine if he was Dwight's cousin in the office or something.
Everything comes full circle, holy cow. First, I find your channel, then I find madeon, and finally, I find yelle from a nerd cubed video. Then, I find this.
I wish I could tell you how many times I've viewed this video since discovering it. Well, this, and all your other videos, which have become my happy place in a very difficult year. Thank you for being so weird and talented, and for being brave enough to share it with the rest of us. (And I have to admit, while your dancing feels like an outlet of pure joy and never fails to elicit a smile from me, Seth's face at 2:54 is something I look forward to with each viewing. The entire end choreography really- you're so fortunate to have so many talented people sharing in your passion projects.)
this is the most 2010's video i've ever seen, and i love it. the 2010's were my starving college student years, and i'm nostalgic for that time now. the struggle was a bit easier and more rewarding back then
For me, Nathan Barnatt is to dancing in the street with all your heart what Steve Irwin was to being nice to animals or Bob Ross was to painting, or what Mister Rogers was to being nice to people. Seeing them do their thing makes me happy in the moment and inspires me to enjoy and appreciate those activities in a positive way. I don't even generally care about dancing but seeing someone have so much fun being silly is too wonderful to not smile at
When I graduated school back in the day and was living in my car for a while I would always watch these dance videos after work. Nathan is still one of the most entertaining content creators I follow.
This video brings be back to a simpler time. A happier time. Look how much fun they were having making this. It's still as wonderful today as it was the first time I saw it.
Holy shit. One of my favorite videos and songs from 2011 and I’m back on this channel cause of Dad. I replayed this sooo many times and showed all my friends and teachers back then. Honestly my most rewatched RUclips video of that year. It didn’t click you guys were the same person until seeing this video again.
Everything about this is absolutely incredible, but the one detail that floors me to this day is the safari girl/mom connection. Erika deserves a lot of props for her roles, just like Nathan does for all of his work and effort he makes for all this content 💜 love you so much my dude 💜
It’s IMPOSSIBLE to stay in a crappy mood when watching your videos. And I’ve added some of your dance moves to my workout. Which makes me happy too. You truly are a gift in a world so focused on negativity and bizarre angry sh*t. Thank you for this. Thank you so much. I wish you giant success and lots & lots of dollars. You truly deserve it. And I have gotten into so much amazing music that I didn’t even know existed!! I owe you, man. ⭐️😁👏
I can't believe this video clip is already 11 years old. I can say that Nathan officially became part of my life :D See ya in the comments here again 10 more years later!
I'm almost crying suddenly it occurs to me that this video was.. important in me learning how to dance specifically, rejecting judgement and performing.. expressing the music I now think of how many shows I've been the first person to start dancing at, deflating judgement for EVERYONE.. and that came from HERE
Content like this will be greatly missed, with the retiring of your channel. You were an inspiration and a one-of-a-kind entertainer I'll always be thankful to have watched over the years. Best of luck in your future endeavors.
y'know these videos are kinda giving me solace. There'll be a day we can get back to walking around as freely and carefree as Nathan in these populated spaces again. idk but its nice.
10 Years ago today. I must have contributed at least 8000 of these views alone lol. Thanks for everything Nathan ^_^ That kid at the end is probably 20 now lol.
I loved this song years ago and never would have assumed I'd find myself liking the dancer from an obscure french song in an ARG that's more unique than any of the other ones I've taken part in.
I remember seeing this video years ago! And now I know you as Dad. It's amazing how things can connect in the strangest ways. Anyway, I just wanted to comment and say you are super talented. Thanks for the fun times, past and present.
You and Yelle made such fun videos. "Comme un enfant" was and is one of my favorite videos. I actually bought a vpn when it was restricted in my country.
Just as good today as it was 12 years ago.
Still obsessed with this for the last few years. Just updating you. Nothing has changed.
Me too.
Yep, awesome stuff
Precision and skill.
Same
Same
Still slaps. One of my most favorite videos of all time.
I revisit this video every couple years and the joy is still there. Nathan and Yelle, what a combo.

here today for a bump i much needed. oh, silly lion. you cant catch Nathan.
IKR 😄
I'm so glad I found this again after all these years!
That must feel so amazing… jumping and free-falling like that!!!
This video sent me back to 2011.
Hangin' with friends, watching RUclips on Friday nights and playing Smash Bros.
Good times. Fun times. Fun memories.
Low key Nathan caked up
both you and yelle have had such a deep impact on my life it's ridiculous and amazing at the same time
I’m revisiting 2011 anyone else?❤️
I'm revisiting 2011 + 4 months ago
Never gets old!
every goddamn day sadly
Blast to the past
I was attracted to his dance because RUclips recommended me Yelle-Ici & Maintenant. Now, I'm binge watching everything.
Loved this video in highschool 2011 my kids love it now in 2024 😁
Your kid? Damn I feel old 😢
@@BarongInside I’m in my 30s you can’t be that much older lol

He did Ease My Mind by SKrillex and it was absolutely outstanding! :( nowhere near the views as this
It took me 2 years to realize @nathan liked my comment about the van.... I should really check my notifications more often
Nathan/Dad/et al is the likiest RUclipsr of all time! He brings sun and light when there is shadow and darkness
it only took me 20 hours to realize he liked this comment. Senpai sees me
I'm on a Nathan binge and I love it

This Video & Song Always Makes Me Smile!
This inspires me to keep working on fun projects
Every time I go to a Yelle concert, I hope Nathan would pop up to mezmerize the cowd with his fabulous dance moves

Thanks. New dance videos have been ok the “Dad” channel btw
