I ended up winning this event! I covered my deck list on my channel. Thanks for the coaching Ian, great to play with you!

Hey Ian. I was gonna get a private w you to help me w this list but I just built it and refined it over a bunch of iterations and play testing instead.
I know it’s not what you are exactly doing with your Thrass Tevesh deck but it’s not so far off and it has honestly felt amazing so far.
Armix is damn good atm. And turning him into the One Ring in this deck is pretty crazy. Also get to play the Hazzles BM layered all up with reanimation strat and use Armix to bin your d druid/Razzaketh/malevolent hermit/so on. Deck cracks Seedborn and.. well, you’ll get it if you take a look at it.
I was gonna play Thrass Tevesh but this just gets you were you need to be faster than that imo and can answer a lot of what’s goin on in the meta. It’s hard to lose to: Kinnan, Malcom, Magda, any of the popular but squishy commanders in the meta when all your cards turn into deadly rollicks.
      Namaste 🖖
I killed Etali w Armix last weekend 😝
(The very Etali pilot who won Starcity a couple months back)

    Archdruids charm is absolutely insane
    That card is CRAZY!
    “What’s it do?”
    “Literally anything you want!”

  • @Some_Context

On the Growing Rites discussion, I think the card is probably fine, but it does first likely need to be swapped out for Diabolic Intent or at least have intent in before it. Anytime Rites would be online so would intent, and you can just intent for a cradle and play it as land for turn.
The downsides for intent vs rites are: You need to sac a creature (oh no my thrull), you don't get to cantrip (which you mentioned you don't care about), and you can't have made your land drop that turn (which the mana difference between the two balances out). You can't also do the funny thing of two cradles, but you can do 1 cradle and 1 seedborne muse which is probably better.
The upside is that it gets you any single card you want in your entire deck outside of just cradle.

I can't remember if you mentioned it but for the hard-in-the-planeswalker build, I would strongly consider Nissa, Genesis Mage. Uptick untaps creatures and lands (which you want) and downtick can potentially a win straight onto board uncounterable.

the kasmina tech is really neat! glad to see teferi master of time in this list lol, I've always felt that this card was slept on a lot but for 4cmc it was hard to find a place for it over the other usual suspects for 4 mana. this build very much hits on the point of "solving" why you should play these two specific partners together and how you're maximizing both to the fullest extent - which is where thrasios tev has an edge over TnT and there's a strong case to play it over TnT even though you lose some of the best cards in the format right now (silence/GA/ranger cap). but green ramp can put out tevesh very nicely in a post-ban meta which is where it clashes with tymna a lot more, and you dont need to go over the top to get your draw abilities which is also TnT's biggest weakness. I just hope you're packing enough bowmasters counterplay in that thrasios tev and tamiyo deck haha pee into the toilet may end up killing you and maybe someone else at the table lol

Ian, for Tevesh/Thras you should look at some of the Rog/Thras lists. The Kitten+Candelabra+Cradle lines are used heavily there

I have been brewing tamiyo. I have found tangle wire to be insanely powerful. Proliferating and Deepglow skating the Fade counters. It buys you so much time to ultimate tamiyo. Also you can tap the clue tokens to the tangle wire.

Listening to your Thrasios Tevesh card choices, is very similar picks of Trhasios Rog

  • @mandielyn0416
    @mandielyn0416 6 дней назад

So on the proliferation/counter doublers, what about playing Innkeepers Talent. It’s a lower mana commitment when you cast it so if it cl gets countered it’s not as painful to your turn. Then with the mana that this deck makes you can tick it up either on the turn it resolves or just on the turn you need the counter doubling.

Sheoldred isn’t a cedh card in my opinion
Well., it has very specific homes.
It just says “instead of winning or losing the game w everyone around 30 life you win or lose the game at 45 life and w your opponents at 10 life each and maybe one of them died”
    The English translation..
    It didn’t do anything

I top 4’d a tournament with tevesh thras on February 2nd, it was a super interesting game
    Seat 1- urza battle thopter
    Seat 2 - inalla
Seat 3- me on tevesh thras
    Seat 4 corum the undertaker
I have been thinking about deepglow skate and tamiyo for a while now and i think i definitely want to add them watching this video makes me feel a little more confident in the decision

I'm hoping to see Hashaton have Massacre Worm in the 99. At three mana it seems a lot better at being a one-sided boardwipe for most creatures

"The Chiefs are just good' Really? They're definitely not a bad team but they get help. If they were as good as some people say they wouldn't consistently be in positions for the game to be decided by questionable calls. The games don't have to be rigged from the top down for the refs to favor a team.
