Thank you for all your tips and encouragement. I’m not normally anxious but I have a flight across the Atlantic coming up this winter and just being in a confined places like that for that. Many hours is stressful to me. My nephew is an airline mechanic, and he has said many of the same things about turbulence that I should think of it as a bump in the road like if you were driving a car.
I have a potential flight to Europe this fall and am already a nervous wreck. Being trapped for 8.5 hours is really too much to contemplate. And most flights are overnight....don't know why they do this? I know I won't be able to sleep cuz I will be too nervous and aren't the pilots tired? Plus we won't be able to look out the window at anything but pitch dark skies. Wish I could take a boat over!
If you get dehydrated, it can cause you to feel all kinds of weird things. I drink electrolytes before I fly, and carry a NUUN tablet in my purse. It’s especially good if you’ve had a lot of sugar, are going to drink on the plane, the night before, etc.
Is there any tips for someone like me who suffers with vertigo? The dizziness I last experienced on my flight was a nightmare. It usually occurs shortly after take off and the pilot must redirect the plane to the correct coordinates, making the plane tip to one side or the other, causing grave dizziness and soon, panic. As of right now I am too scared to fly since my last experience and I am desperate for any advice to combat this uncomfortable experience. Is there any possible way for me to control this? Thank you!!!!
I too suffer from vertigo and will soon fly my first flight. Crazy right? I have an essential oil blend from Cvs for vertigo and motion sickness acupuncture bracelets to use. Also ear planes. I hope these things all work. Mostly, I hope not to panic. Vertigo is horrible. The first time I had it, I thought I was dying!
I hear you!! That’s true for me, too. I find that not having caffeine, having distractions, and drinking lots of water is very helpful. I also find that sitting in the aisle also helps the feeling of feeling too enclosed. Also, if yo ly are having a hard time, tell your flight attendant, they can be so helpful. Good luck on your next flight!
I have flown more times than I can count. But every time I am scared. I try my best to distract myself in the best ways I can.
I am a therapist and hate flying! I get a lot of intrusive thoughts. This reminded me I have the skills to help myself! Your video is so good!!

Dramamine
Going to Liberia in two days for the first time. I have flight anxiety. Help me Lord
I in a 11 million for a crash is still too high for me
I read one time: When turbulence happens, take your feet off the floor.
I’m worried about having anxiety and then I’m trapped. I’m not worried about the plane going down.
