The bassist certainly has one of the most unique sound I've heard in recent, same for the guitarist, they greatly utilize effects to create otherworldly sounds
I just got back from their show. I was extremely close to the front, it was incredible to see her play the pedal board to hold onto notes and distort them. Their pedal boards are huge!
I love how weird and experimental this band is. Rock music has been getting generic lately, and it’s bands with unique sounds like this that keep things fresh. Their new album is one of my favorites from this year for sure.
@@shaunmatthewcpoetry well, not YET. But yeah it's a little silly to say "plenty of underground bands sound like this" and yet not name a single one of them.... This band is really doing something interesting and new in terms of tone if nothing else, and if there's a bunch of other bands out there who sound just like it too I want to know who they are and listen to it all
What an amazing show of skill and secret nerd-dom. The Source Audio MIDI ring is SO obscure....and here it is used in the most perfect way. These kids are like Strawberry Switchblade meets MUSE. I am not a riff rawk fan, but holy cow! Mad respect to these humans.
So great to hear your riffs broken down... Saw you guys live in a tiny venue in Cardiff and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to!! Energy is amazing, pedalwoek is amazing and so innovative. Can't wait to hear what you come up with next 💚
I just found out about this band by pure chance but I already love them! The innovative and open approach to playing and sound is really inspiring, especially to me as a bassist!
Good luck with that. I read in an interview that Georgia is very secretive about her pedals and settings. She’s got something very unique going on, so I can’t really blame her for wanting to keep her special sauce recipe a secret. 😎🤟
Woooow I did not expect them to recreate all of those sounds live. Mind blown! 🤯 Man so many people don’t realize how difficult it is to navigate all of those pedals live. So impressive
You'll be glad you did. I first heard of them like late 2020 but the album they just dropped is def their best yet. IMO they're going to be HUUUGE internationally very very soon.
Hiya Nova Twins. I just literally stumbled on your band at the weekend watching HELLFEST!!. I really enjoyed your set. So cool! You gals are preety amazing. I love to play guitar with lots of pedals too. EHX Opamp. Walrus Slő. Eartquake Astral destiny. Eartquake afterneath. Cry baby. Big Sky. Night sky. Boss BF3. Boss FZ1 Fuzz. Boss BD2 blues driver. EHX Poly Chorus. DD8 delay. Wren and Cuff Garbage face. EHX memory boy. EHX Sovtek deluxe Bigmuff. Lots of pedals and possibities. Well yup I found your band then I found out your playing my home city next month! Birmingham academy. I got my ticket on Saturday and I'm really looking forward to to the gig. Much Love and good luck!!💜
They’re pretty cool. I like that all sounds I hear in their songs are them playing their instruments. Too often, nowadays, things are produced on a sound board in the studio. So, I will say it is nice to see they play all the sounds. They’re an interesting band. I like them.
@@brentkelsay3439 That's pretty damn awesome! I just checed out Source Audio's demo-video for that thing. So that means she's running a laptop with synth-software with her pedal-board? or can the Hot Hand be used to directly control effects on Source Audio pedals?
@@NewAeonWarlord Peace, Warlord!😁 Wow that's above my pay grade. There's a short article from Loudwire as well as an 8 min yt video, both titled 'Nova Twins Play Their Favorite Riffs'. Article says they don't use synths, all through their pedalboards and instruments. In video Georgia briefly demonstrates the ring. That's all I know, a rep at a music store would probably have all the details. Good luck!
@@brentkelsay3439 no problem :) I bet I can find out with some digging. The Source Audio pedals looked fun to play with anyways and I thinkg the do have USB anyways so you can edit all the sound options on a pc so that might actually work with their MIDI controller directly, too. If not that kinda sounds like a missed opportunity and the company always struck me as innovative enough not to do that.
i was at a show yesterday asking questions after the show to georgia (the bass player) and she wouldn’t like reveal anything about the pedalboard they also have it taped up so you can barely tell brands let alone the actual pedal. The ring also she wouldn’t tell me what it was. I didn’t pry i just asked what it was and she said a magic ring and it’s a secret lol. love them
@@draculaspawn I don't think itd take people long to work out how to make these sounds, I'm not hearing anything that sounds too unusual. I should probably clarify that by unusual I mean the pedals are probably fairly standards stuff, the sounds are weird for sure.

Insane sound 😮 the ring the bassist was talking bout I am familiar with cuz I was into it years ago but never played bass . But I really digged the concept of playing dubstep type basses on guitar . Saw them live when they supported bring me the horizon on their 2021 tour and they were amazing. That bass tone makes your whole body shake!
Fingers crossed for them to come back and headline a full US tour soon (or at least be the main support for somebody cool). Next year maybe.
