The bassist certainly has one of the most unique sound I've heard in recent, same for the guitarist, they greatly utilize effects to create otherworldly sounds
Indeed 👍🏻Grtz from Belgium
Westone basses are great!
I just got back from their show. I was extremely close to the front, it was incredible to see her play the pedal board to hold onto notes and distort them. Their pedal boards are huge!
Amazing live too!
Like a horror movie😂
Holy crap!!! Just saw them open for Foo Fighters. The bass and riffs hits so hard! I'm a fan
Saw them live when they supported bring me the horizon on their 2021 tour and they were amazing. That bass tone makes your whole body shake!
Fingers crossed for them to come back and headline a full US tour soon (or at least be the main support for somebody cool). Next year maybe.
I love how weird and experimental this band is. Rock music has been getting generic lately, and it’s bands with unique sounds like this that keep things fresh. Their new album is one of my favorites from this year for sure.
Unique? There's plenty of UNDERGROUND bands sounding like this. Quit the mainstream and see for yourself.
@@mikewilder6728 Nova Twins are not mainstream...
@@shaunmatthewcpoetry well, not YET. But yeah it's a little silly to say "plenty of underground bands sound like this" and yet not name a single one of them.... This band is really doing something interesting and new in terms of tone if nothing else, and if there's a bunch of other bands out there who sound just like it too I want to know who they are and listen to it all
@@rjr6912 yes they great, I've been following them since before their first album. I saw them with Prophets of Rage.
Unique or different is not "necessarily" a good thing.
Some people seem to cling to different for the sake of different.
Truly mastering their instruments and effects, they deserve much more recognition 👍👍👍👍👍
That Toolbox riff is fucking awesome
Love how they breakdown the stereo types of the last 40 years!!
They are playing how they want and what they want without the constraints of what has gone before.
If this doesn't wake up other musicians I don't know what will. Super creativity!!
Lucky enough to catch Nova Twins live twice this year already, those bass lines are HUGE
Just discovering their music. Man, these girls rock! Instant fan!
Yes indeed
1:35 damn that is a crazy ass riff never knew a bass could do that lmao
same
it's called floor pedals
What an amazing show of skill and secret nerd-dom. The Source Audio MIDI ring is SO obscure....and here it is used in the most perfect way. These kids are like Strawberry Switchblade meets MUSE. I am not a riff rawk fan, but holy cow! Mad respect to these humans.
I’m soooo happy to see them here!!!!
Me too; they’re so inspiring and makes me want to pick up my guitar and getting into it
Haha, love all the clicking and clacking from the pedals.
what the hack, i totally blown away, those new sounds, absolute fresh tunes, awesome
So great to hear your riffs broken down... Saw you guys live in a tiny venue in Cardiff and it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to!! Energy is amazing, pedalwoek is amazing and so innovative. Can't wait to hear what you come up with next 💚
I always loved ur riffs. 😍🫶🤟..... Long live to nova twins !
I love the creativity they infuse in their music but make it so accessible! Brilliant band!
Antagonist is definitely all time favorite... I love metal and this was their great straight up rendition of a metal song without too much synth.
Yesss that one and Athena
I just found out about this band by pure chance but I already love them! The innovative and open approach to playing and sound is really inspiring, especially to me as a bassist!
Amazing creativity. Glad to live in a country with people who can produce stuff like this,
Loudwire, we need another video featuring their pedal boards and showing the effects used!
Good luck with that. I read in an interview that Georgia is very secretive about her pedals and settings. She’s got something very unique going on, so I can’t really blame her for wanting to keep her special sauce recipe a secret. 😎🤟
I need to check them out, I love their energy and I need some of that in my life
These girls are sick asf, those riffs were hella cool!!!!
dood-dawg
I've never heard of these two, I'll have to look them up
You'll be glad you did. I first heard of them like late 2020 but the album they just dropped is def their best yet. IMO they're going to be HUUUGE internationally very very soon.
That is siiiik! I love that ring thing on the bass riffs. Is it a magnet or something?
They’re pretty cool. I like that all sounds I hear in their songs are them playing their instruments. Too often, nowadays, things are produced on a sound board in the studio.
So, I will say it is nice to see they play all the sounds. They’re an interesting band. I like them.
So much cool stuff in their songs. Tons of energy too.
The video doesn't do them justice, they are absolutely PHENOMENAL live. Insane energy from both of them.
They play the guitar great, and their giving me cyberpunk 2077 vibes and the riff sounds so futuristic too lol 🤘
I love the riff and the girls too...🤘
1:57 - That's something like a Bluetooth d-beam controller as a ring? Pretty cool.
I adore this band. Just saw them live yesterday and how they can do all this live and sound flawless is amazing
Man, they got mad talents! I need to check their music out right NOW!
They did a colab with Bring Me The Horizon that’s really good
@@dylan3488 I'll check it out, nice one mate!
3:15 well this year you did!! CONGRATS GIRLS!!! I wish I was there to take it all in🫶🏾
First heard of them when they did a mashup song with FEVER 333! They're so kickass
Absolute pedalboard geniuses!!
I'm going to see you guys live in May. Super stoked!
never heard of them until now. gonna go check out their stuff. thanks loudwire
What you do is very very good, it puts a massive smile on my face, go with the flow. please keep the good time rocking.
I’ve played that model westone bass. Very deep with lots of clarity.
Dude I want one of those rings that turns my bass into the Prodigy that's rad
Brilliant I love them!
They are absolutely Brilliant. I watched them for the first time this year at Glastonbury
Vi a estas chicas en Charlotte el 9 de Mayo y dieron un concierto increíble. Son super talentosas y suenan fantástico
Holy damn!
Saw them at RockWerchter and they completely smashed it!! Didn't know they did so much of those ''synth'' sounds live manually with bass/guitar effects, LOVE IT ! Awesome band!
Im so gutted i didnt catch these at download but i seen them with shikari i became an instant fan. Love what they do
Most exciting band I’ve heard for years! 🤘🏽👽🤘🏽
Great to see rock coming back with new experimentation
Saw these ladies twice, so good!
Amazing sound, they are awesome
Serious riffage! Really hope I get to see Nova twins live in 23/24!
Actually AMAZING 👏
Sick sound 😍
Hiya Nova Twins. I just literally stumbled on your band at the weekend watching HELLFEST!!.
I really enjoyed your set. So cool!
You gals are preety amazing.

Much Love and good luck!!💜
One of my new favourite bands 🤘🏻
I got a feeling music is saved. We need a rig rundown though
I'll run out and tell everyone in case they don't know yet
i was at a show yesterday asking questions after the show to georgia (the bass player) and she wouldn’t like reveal anything about the pedalboard they also have it taped up so you can barely tell brands let alone the actual pedal. The ring also she wouldn’t tell me what it was. I didn’t pry i just asked what it was and she said a magic ring and it’s a secret lol. love them
@@draculaspawn I don't think itd take people long to work out how to make these sounds, I'm not hearing anything that sounds too unusual. I should probably clarify that by unusual I mean the pedals are probably fairly standards stuff, the sounds are weird for sure.
I absoluty love this
You two are amazing
Seen you with Foo Fighters in Charlotte! Amazing show!🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
discovered em on the last bmth album and they seiiickk
I really enjoy this video thank you 🔥
They're in their own amazing world.
There going to go through gear so quick live. Total worth it.
that bass tone is fire
Very creative with the effects, that’s awesome
Hell yeah!
This is vital stuff..🔥
Thank you
Holy shit, I love these gals!
Saw them open for Foo fighters a few days ago...they were really good..love the bass distortion...guitarist has a Tom Morello vibe.
Love these two!!!! I want to see the pedal boards!
Women with guitars are so HoTT!🤘🏼
Came here after Elton John said he’s a fan. I’m not disappointed 🤘
The riffs
Impressive. 🤘
I have a new respect for bass after this.
That ring thing is tight I’ve never seen those before make some dubstep skrillex shit
Please come back in Belgium!!!!🤌🤌🔥🔥
Gaaawg ...how refreshing to see honest talent 😮...not the chite we seem to always get
Holy freakin pedalboards this ain't playin this is sorcery!!! Sick sounds ladies.🤘🔥🤘
Love that ring thingy, I want the same, and what' that pedal she's using on the guitar ? its awesome
MY GIIIIIIIIRLS
oh Jesus I never knew how this sound was made until I saw this 1:35
I found them after their Collab with Bring me the fu cking horizon 👌
saw them as yungblud support, i wish that they can do 1x1 with bmth in february
the future of hard rock
I feel like when they play I’m in a nightclub in a XXX (triple X) movie in 2003
Wow
Whats that Ring thing? I want one
Amy and Georgia are fantastic and so inspirational.
Where can we find this "ring" thing ? it's awesome !
Hot Hand MIDI controller. Go make some insane sounds of your own!
@@brentkelsay3439 That's pretty damn awesome! I just checed out Source Audio's demo-video for that thing. So that means she's running a laptop with synth-software with her pedal-board? or can the Hot Hand be used to directly control effects on Source Audio pedals?
@@NewAeonWarlord Peace, Warlord!😁 Wow that's above my pay grade. There's a short article from Loudwire as well as an 8 min yt video, both titled 'Nova Twins Play Their Favorite Riffs'. Article says they don't use synths, all through their pedalboards and instruments. In video Georgia briefly demonstrates the ring. That's all I know, a rep at a music store would probably have all the details. Good luck!
@@brentkelsay3439 no problem :) I bet I can find out with some digging. The Source Audio pedals looked fun to play with anyways and I thinkg the do have USB anyways so you can edit all the sound options on a pc so that might actually work with their MIDI controller directly, too. If not that kinda sounds like a missed opportunity and the company always struck me as innovative enough not to do that.
@@NewAeonWarlord I'm thinking if you can make sounds like that it's definitely worth some digging haha. You'll be making those sounds soon!🎸🤘
what is that ring thing she uses where can i get one ?
Hot Hand MIDI controller. bringmesicksounds!
I wish i could use that "Ring" on my voice lol just randomly talking to people.
can someone explain that ring thingy ?? does it kind of introduce a interfering signal ??
it's an electromagnet
Hot Hand MIDI controller. Ring thingy, wing dingy!
✌️💛🤘
😎🤘💯🔥
What's the name of the "ring" Georiga is using on her bass 1:35??
That was NOT the accent I expected. Always thought they came from the US.
Racist confirmed.
@@Bootheater1 Not really. I mostly assumed they were American because of their music style. It sounds like some mash-up of Nu Metal and more electronic metal like Powerman 5000, which are styles primarily played/popularized by American bands.
And even then, I would've never expected the British to bring the next exciting thing in Metal. I mean Sweden, Germany, Japan or Brazil? Sure. But the UK? Would've never thought of it. I would've guessed they were French before that.
@@youcanthandlethetruth8873 definately Poweman 5000 vibes on a song or two, which is great.
@@youcanthandlethetruth8873 dude, the UK invented metal...
@@thyop89 True, although I can't say I've heard anything that exciting from the British metal scene since the early eighties. Iron Maiden is to me their last great contribution.
I would love to know what they have on their pedalboards
Pixie dust. Oh and badassery...
SKILLLZZZZ
Holy crap. Everyone wonders what this style of music is. It's "Pedal Porn".
