"One Against a Hundred." Sums up North Korea's situation on the world stage pretty well. Evil or benign, I have a deep respect for such a steadfast resolve.

    • @corvon7410
      @corvon7410 4 года назад +3

"steadfast resolve" is achieved at the expense of the welfare of the North Korean people. If leaders are willing to sacrifice the population for their foreign policy goals, then they are bad leaders. There is nothing to respect, only to regret the spinelessness of North Korean citizens.

''We grew up under the wing of the great commander,
With the motto in the chest "One against a hundred."
Yes, we are fighting the army,
    Fearlessly fighting the enemies
    Chorus:
This oath of the heart, "One against a hundred"
We are soldiers of the commander, one against a hundred, a hundred against one
Under aimed fire "One against a hundred"
Grow a great power, "One against a hundred"
    Becoming a hundred times stronger,
    Defend our homeland Juche.

It would be a wild exaggeration to say the US and other Western countries are the source that feeds the people of the DPRK. All the more so, when the US cant even feed its own population - 50 million Americans reported going hungry last year, and tens of thousands of Americans are living in tent cities. It would be more true to say that that US offers food in return for certain negotiations it wants with the DPRK, and that the DPRK agrees to the exchange.

Fascism wasn't derived from Socialism at all, Fascists simply used the word Socialism to appeal to the working class.
Fascism didn't "eventually evolve into" corporatism... it was always corporatist..
North Korea focuses on self reliance for the simple reason that they're under sanctions and blockades... they can't really rely on anyone else can they!

Just as the former Soviet Union got disintegrated, China opened up to capitalist market, former Romania liquidated its own communist party, Vietnam slowly forsaking its communistic control, it is only a matter of time for North Korea to end the Kim Jung Il & Kim Jung Un hierarchy and their cruelty to the “comrades”. Thousands of innocent North Korean people have been cruelly killed, NOT by Americans or South Koreans, but by Kim Jung Il & his cohorts in their own land for last 50 years or so.

The famine in the 1990s was caused by the fact that the DPRK had a very modern agricultural sector, which depended on Soviet oil for fertilizer. When the USSR collapsed, the supply of oil was cut off and their was a catastrophic fall off in agricultural production. A fate that may well lay in store for the USA, if Middle Eastern oil is cut off in the future. Studies show the US children have stunted intellectual development, due to poor education, poor media, and poor nutrition.
