I've got the Pate Biscuit & Bongo book as it happens. In fact I was actually looking for a Big Gig Anthony Ackroyd sketch BETA Losers when VHS won over BETA for home video recording. Some people insisted on buying BETA even though there were only about 5 BETA videos in most video stores. "Who would pay $900 for a clock - BETA losers," was a line from the sketch. Finding this however was most welcome. Very clever and very funny. Funnier than what I was after I think.
Funny as cancer. And not in a good way. You know years later Patsy Biscoe started to send herself up. She was a lot funnier. I can still remember her on Humphrey. She was wickedly delightful. Nicholas on the other hand made me cringe. I couldn't stand Harmer either. She was as subtle as a sack of wet mice. And not even as good looking. The ABC has produced the best Australian comedy but this was the polio opposite
PISS MY SELF LAUGHING. Thank You. When comedy was clever and funny.
Thanks to RUclips my kids can watch classic pate biscuit stories. Thanks Glynn
I went to a taping of this show back in the day

This is comedy gold. The Big Gig was inspired stuff. Glynn Nicholas was hilarious!
Glynn was a master at vaudeville . Mine, dance, singing. Then he and pasty got together for an actual one off. Mind blowing.
I miss Bongo.

Polio opposite 😅😂🤣😂!!!!
@@relacser yup. You read that right. I'd rather have polio than watch the big gig. It was shit.
Your type is the reason comedy is dead in Australia.
