I know Quentin Tarantino didn't direct it but he wrote True Romance and is just one awesome movie through and through. Christian Slater is awesome Patricia Arquette is beautiful. Assemble guest by cast Christopher Walken Val Kilmer Brad Pitt Dennis Hopper Gary Oldman and an early appearance by James Gandolfini.

Man after my own heart. Batman is my absolute favorite superhero among favorite superheroes. And I love Christopher Nolan. Saw a couple of Tarantino and Fincher's films, but in general, I don't like certain kinds of their content. I'll leave it at that. I also like how each of you guys doing their 31 list about these 3 have your own opinions, showing that it's all subjective and everyone has the right to like or dislike what they want.
Happy to see Tenet getting some love. When I saw it at my local theatre I was sure it was gonna be a smash hit and was floored when I saw all the negative response to it. Idk if I would put it above Inception (my first Nolan movie aside from the Batman movie) but it was still a really good movie, imo.

I’ve not seen a lot of these movies but my favorites would be Once upon a time Zodiac Seven Dark knight Girl with the dragon tattoo Pulp fiction and inception are two that I didn’t think were as good as people hyped them up to be. When travolta and Jackson weren’t on screen I just wasn’t interested in anything going on and inception feels like it gets most of the hype because if the concept and the film itself is just an ok action thriller.
your thoughts on the prestige where you said you saw the twist with Bales's coming but not the twist with Jackman's character is the exact opposite for me was really surprised by the twist with bale's character and saw the twist with Jackman's coming right when he got the machine
Bizarre isn't it! How people pick up on different things. I was convinced there had to be another explaination for Jackman's character. To me the twist was that there was no twist.
I also was immensely surprised by the bale twist. With the Jackman character I saw it coming a bit, but I was not sure it was going to pull through, or if we were misdirected again.

I attended seminary where I had heated debate over what cosmogony had the greatest explanitory power. I have held my ground discussing anthropology with a high ranking member of the libertarian party of my state. I corresponded with Peter Van Inwagen over his infuriating assertion that potentially was univocal to actuality. All of it has faded away as pointless pedantry because of YOU and your CRIMINAL placement of "Memento" on this list! I'm kidding of course I totally respect your opinion. I do actually disagree though lol.
The important thing to remember is that this is a list of mostly 4.5 or 5 star movies. It's like asking, "which is better, 5 grand in your pocket or 5 grand in your bank account?" Either way, you've got 5 grand.
@@BryanLomax it's stiff competition to be sure. I thought you were very respectful of every film whether I agreed with your assessment or not. Also, Fincher, as great as he is, has very high highs but polar lows. Including his filmography in this list was not an enviable task but you did well.
Paprika is a great anime movie. Basically the same idea, but more outrageous, weirder and way more interesting. I saw Paprika before I saw inception and remember wondering if Nolan had seen it and was ripping it off.

Great list! Fun to see how I agree with most reasons you have for placing it somewhere, but I don't agree with the placement 😂, these directors are just too good, I would order the 5/5 movies different but I agree that most are 5/5.

I feel the same way about Fight Club - it spoke to me more strongly at a different time; but that's also the brilliance of it. As we all are at different levels of perspective at different times. Imagine seeing it for the first time now - and post 9/11, given the ending. -- and you're gospel on Sorkin.

7. Dark Knight
8. Inglorious Bastards

I won’t fight you on putting pulp fiction in the honourable mentions, but it’s baffling to me so many people have interstellar in the top 10.

I reviewed it a little while back. Use to be my favourite movie at one time.
Same with dusk til dawn and natural born killers, he wrote them but sold them of
Nice list man, always great to hear opinions that are different than mine. I would put Zodiac number 1, followed by Inglourious Basterds and Pulp Fiction but there you go. And oh yes, at number 31 I would definitely put Interstellar.

@@BryanLomax Haha fair enough, mate! We all have our different likes and dislikes and I thought at the time Interstellar was a stinker and have only seen it once. Don't get me wrong though, Nolan has made some really good movies but I am just not the biggest fan of the director.

Man after my own heart. Batman is my absolute favorite superhero among favorite superheroes. And I love Christopher Nolan. Saw a couple of Tarantino and Fincher's films, but in general, I don't like certain kinds of their content. I'll leave it at that.

Pulp fiction and inception are two that I didn’t think were as good as people hyped them up to be.

With the Jackman character I saw it coming a bit, but I was not sure it was going to pull through, or if we were misdirected again.

wow. you reallt are a fanboy if even the dkr is better to you than the best works of Tarrantino and Fincher. lol
