honestly if you think about it even further with how long yuki's parents lived, the chances of kaname being closer to her branch in the family tree is a lot higher. despite him being an "ancestor," i feel like he's more like a great grandpa or great-great grandpa. Which makes it so much worse. Also, the fact that there is a kuran family mean kaname had to bang... right...? this anime really is so bad but the shared pain, rage, disgust, and cringe is what makes it worth it imo@@MuffinLadd

The manga will always have a special place in my heart, it was one of the first manga I ever got truly invested in when I was younger, but honestly? I really only cared about Kaname's inner circle. It's a shame they never got the spotlight. Senri was, and still is, my favourite.

I really wanted to enjoy the show. The intro is fire, and promised eerie glamour. But... but... they dropped the ball so hard it turned into an asteroid and destroyed the dinosaurs.
I remember getting into this manga around late middle school-early high school. I had a bit of a crush on Kain (the blonde vampire guy's tall cousin) but, that was the majority of my investment in this series. Dropped it like a rock as soon as I heard from friends more invested in it than I was about the gross relationship reveal between Kaname & Yuki. 🤮 I never looked back!

Love this video, and I couldn't agree more on everything said here 😂 I watched this Anime when I was super young and understood nothing of what was happening, I just thought the art style was nice that was all I thought of back then. 😂
Now that I rewatched it, the shock hit me with the fact that both Zero and Kaname are related to Yuki... 🤢🤮 Especially KANAME!🫠🫠
What makes their relationship so much worse is how he's physically her older brother, but mentally he's her 11,000 year old grandfather 🫠

bro i totally agree i watched this anime 4 years ago and i was shocked i watched the whole thing and at the end I was so disappointed with myself for watching this crud and honestly the most interesting thing about ther anime about Zero's body rejecting those damn pills they never go into why that is or anything interesting about that even tho they tell you the legend about it, it was the only interesting part of the anime and they never go into detail about that was upsetting to me i was just entirely disappointed with this anime in every way
I feel like the characters are the weakest thing about the show. So many interesting concepts that were just ruined because of terrible characters and writing decisions. Like delve into characters more and flesh them out, make Yuki AN ACTUALLY GOOD CHARACTER, and fix the plot progression!
When I was in high school years ago at this point (I know the anime came out in like 2008 or something but you know) this anime was making the rounds and a few of female friends were obsessed with the show and how much they loved the male leads, I tried to watch it but after two episodes...I think I converted myself to liking Twilight more and I HATE Twilight so much. I hate this anime too but still. After I told my friends the anime was crap, I straight up got kicked out of the female friend group and got picked on because I didn't like the anime 😂😂😂 it still makes me laugh to this day 🤣🤣🤣 I ended up watching the whole anime and...I wish I watched paint dry instead.

This was one of the first animes I ever watched, and was only because it was on the telly on the kids channel - ABC in Aus
First scene i saw while flicking through the channels was Zero devouring his brother 😅
I grew up with DBZ, Pokemon, Yu-gioh-, Digimon, Beyblade Burst, and Yo Kai Watch growing up not knowing what anime is, then Netflix had a section of shit that looked liked that and Vampire Knight stood out to me cause of Vampire's and I watched that shit hoping for blood but got a cool white dude with a gun (I watched this when I was 9) and didn't understand what a story was. NOW....remembering it...and watching your vids on it...WHAT THE FUUUU-

I had more of a good time watching Castlevania Nocturne than this mess. Thank god this anime was cancelled after its second season because I can only imagine it getting worse in season 3.

I remember watching Vampire Knight and getting the manga when I was young and my girlfriend at the time said it was the worst one (she only watched bl anime like yuri on ice and at the time I wasn’t into the purely romance genre) and since it was one of the first animes I ever watched I got sad and wouldn’t watch any more for a while because I didn’t like being mocked for it LOL

I can see what you mean, but it's hard to claim whether something is ethical, especially in regard to something that is parody.
100 girlfriends was made to make fun of the oversaturated market that was the "Harem genre" and make it's characters and story as wacky as possible and while yes, it did have its moments of fan service. personally, many of the moments that I can think right now were used for comedy, and it never really got to a point where it got gratuitous or even all that problematic. In my opinion, anyway
Take a few examples like Maken-ki, High School DxD, and even infinite Stratos. The ratio of story bits to fan service is VASTLY in favor of Fan service than it is to the story with these anime. And 100 girlfriends simply don't really do that to the degree the other series' do. For example, if you were to watch all three of the series I named then, you'll probably think 100 girlfriends isn't as bad as you thought. This anime is actually tame next to those 3.
Im in no way defending the usage of fan service in anime, but depending on how it's used, and whether or not it's gratuitous or crosses the border of "alright, why am I seeing this?" Then I can make the argument against it.

Twilight had a few moments that made me laugh because of it's absurdity but Vampire knight, has no charm, no characterization, and NONEXISTENT LIKABLE CHARACTERS
both are bad, don't get me wrong, but id rather sit through all five twilight movies than watch both seasons of vampire knight again
