You should put it next to your bird for at least 3 hours every day. I usually recommend at least 3 hours a day. To learn the best and fastest, follow the steps here. you cant MAKE the bird white lol, if you want a white cockatiel you will have to get one, these are pretty rare however..

My cockatiel started sing when he 1 years old.
Mine started before his first moult. Now he won't shut up and he mangles lots of songs together. But we love him. Not so sure the neighbours do.
