I Found the RVG set extremely boring, dull and incoherent, and aimed, probably accurately, at the most uncritical of gig goers you can’t trust the opinions of paid music influencers and critics. I found this awful band’s stage antics uninspiring, Romy Vaga is a fake and a copy cat, one group that gets copied is the Cure, but it is nowhere as good. RVG and it’s lead singer hide behind the gender facade without producing anything. Romy clearly lacks the talent of great gay artists like Boy George, Liberace or Gary Glitter that he is trying to copy without any of the charisma or stage presence. I am sorry to say Romy dressing up like a woman is a cheap gimmick, how about producing some entertainment? if there is no talent to back up the dress ups? It just falls flat . I found the RVG set totally devoid of any musical ability, from the out of tune guitars, to the out of time drum playing, to the out of key amateurish vocals...a total mess, If this is the future of Australian Independent music? The garbage, I heard tonight was a total disappointment. I want my money back. I'd rather be home listening to itunes And the Artists I mentioned before. The Whole RVG act needs a rethink it is just awful, in fact it was so unpleasant that I was hoping he would just end the gender sharade and just come out on stage just so I could escape this torture test"
This is the worst live band I have ever seen in my life, Pretentious, abysmally sordid, amateurishly played and, above all, boring"
One way to salvage some fun with this woeful set would be some place else to fall asleep while listening and dreaming up some better music yourself. Try it. You'll avoid the massive depression that is RVG
