      @@Jiyukan it really depends people tend to be more pain resistant when drunk or on other drugs so this hinders the effectiveness of nerve strikes. Also in a heated situation it isnt always possible to get a good shot on the nerves as there are many factors which can ruin the effect such as different anatomy (being fat or very muscular), pain tolerance, type of clothing and movement of the person itself. Nerve strikes are definetly effective no doubt, but it highly depends on the nerves you aim for and your ability to do so.

    • @FightFast
      @FightFast  Год назад +7

      Funny story, the two instructors in this video, despite being very close friends, nearly got into a fist fight after this demonstration. Bob, the guy with the mustache applied a full force choke to make the demonstration as realistic as possible. Randy did not know Bob was going to do that. In return Randy (the guy in the blue shirt) pushed pretty hard on the Suprasternal notch (which is very vulnerable no matter what) dropping Bob to his knees. If you've ever had that pressure point applied to you it f**king hurts and you start gagging. I don't mean pushing a little to feel it, but really pushing on it like you mean in. So I respectfully disagree with your assessment. Pressure points are not the answer in every situation, but when you know where they are, and the opportunity arises, they can be extremely effective.

    I want to see you do this on a none complaint opponent. that's what this is missing.
    1. People aren't stupid. They're not just gonna stand there and let you do that.
    2.
    Do the demonstration so people know what to do, then do it under pressure.
    Because you ain't gonna do 90% of it. And if you do, it's gonna piss them off, and they're gonna start swinging, and the person that tries this is gonna get knocked out, wondering why it didn't work.
    That "choke, choke" pushing into the neck they are going to grab your hand and go into offensive mode.
    Y'all have said that you guys have been in fights, been bouncers, etc.
    But what you are showing says you haven't.

      Mr West there has killed a few people with his hands and has really hurt quite a few others. No one will let you do this to them while they stand there. But this type of training is called teaching. They are teaching the common locations and reactions to these points. They are not teaching technique and form. Utilize the use of attacking these points in your training. Boxers have the spot on the chin that is gold. Just jitsu uses blood chokes and air restrictions amongst others. You are correct. No one will let you do this to them, no one will let you give them the ol 1 2 either, but it works...

      Lets assume these things all work. They're still highly suboptimal under pressure when there are more intuitive and effective methods that require less thinking and less precision.
      Example, r4pe choke in the blue shirt: one finger is not sturdy enough for this to work on someone who's familiar with the feeling of getting guillotine choked (like myself and anyone I know these days). Necks are hard to grab like that, just take half a step back and start moving like it's a fight, not a ted talk, and this choke will nevet happen

    • @katbat2379
      @katbat2379 Год назад

      Lol another MMA is real fighting guy. Its a sport, its play fighting. It has rules. Your not allowed to use nerve attacks for obvious reasons just as your not allowed to poke eyes or finger strike throats..... Just as your not supposed to break someone arm, thats why they tap. In a real fight id have your arm broken before you hit the ground. Im not interested in restraining you or controlling you, im interested in stopping you absolutely. as fast as i can. Im not playing games. . Cos thats how its really done. Restraint is what happens when you fail to complete the technique properly. Its a training exercise but the mentality should be to break asap. 90% of throws are meant to break bones during the throw before you hit the ground. there is no grappling. Strikers give you limbs to break.

    some of those techniques make some sense. but if you are behind the you be better of using a rear naked choke than most of the techniques shown here probably even if you were a woman (although I don't know exactly how much strength a woman possesses ) also you will almost never be behind your opponent in this type of encounter. and as far as pressing with your finger into the notch in his throat you be better of punching your adversary there or at least making a fist and striking with your thumb then pushing it into him and down than using your finger.(although you might consider using your pointing finger as shown here once the hit is delivered and yes the strike also it is unlikely that the attacker will use front choke its not a most efficient way to make someone unconscious even if you are using both thumbs into the notch and you have a person against the wall .it can be done this way if you are much stronger than the other person and the other person panics the assailant would be much better of coming behind his victim and putting a rear naked choke on them than try to choke them by wrapping their hands around their throat. and this is what you need to look out for. or just a punch to a solar plexus for example is more efficient than wrapping your arms around person's throat from the front.

      You DO know, that pressure points, are outlawed in MMA for a reason...right? Also, in a real life situation, you don't wait for a referee to say, 'Go!'/'Fight'. In a real life situation, 9 times out of ten, a guy isn't going to ground and pound you...and if he DOES, you use the moves shown here, which a illegal in 'sport' martial arts or competition. It's anything goes in the streets. If the guy isn't still during this demonstration, how would you see precisely where to strike? You are thinking of an MMA gym, where they are sparing and working out, practicing for an audience. THIS is self defence. Techniques that
      ANYBODY can use against bully's/bigger/stronger attackers.

    Damn dude, nobody’s gonna want to allow u to use them to make demonstration videos anymore. That guy is saying to himself…. “Fuck this shit, u didn’t say u we’re gonna actually perform every move on me, ur just suppose to demonstrate how it’s done. Also… I didn’t sign up for this”

    This is all well and good on paper. But in practice, only two of these techniques actually work in a real fight. And the knife that they're peddling is shit! It has a week flimsy tang, and it's made from really weak crap ass Steel!

    Sticking anybody anywhere with a pin would work you don’t need To learn pressure points were to stick a pencil or a knife because a pen could be used like a Ice pick 🤦🏼‍♂️

      @@FightFast You do not need to know pressure points or is nerve strikes if you’re going to be using a pencil because I grabbed a hold of a pen When I was eight or nine years old and I took out to 16 year olds with it not hitting any pressure points

    hehe those may work for the average drunk person but not most people that have a clue , if you aer to busy thinking Ihave to hit this or that presurepoint your going down it has to be automatic happen before the thought of doign it or it will probably not work and you will end up hurt, I mean really how many people that are being agressive topwards you are going to be standing ther waiting for you to do something more times then not yoiur going to get suckered
