      Helaine was my favorite on Sale of the Century , I wonder if she is still alive today?

    I'm happy Helaine won, though I have to say Karin had this and choked it. THREE wrong answers, she gets two of those three right, that's a $20 swing and she wins by $5. Then again, Karin wins and she's considered a villain as much as Alice unless she herself would have went on a run and taken the lot plus the jackpot.

    1:15:06 When Jim Perry walks up to you when you get a Sale Surprise added to the bargain, that usually means it's a huge one.

    • @MewtwoStruckBack

      That was a costly Sale Surprise, the game's ending being considered.

    Karin's miss in the final Fame Game was the turning point. She even cursed under her breath, too.

    At 57:25 Karin got her question wrong but they didn’t deduct her score.

    Helaine had the same thought I did about the fact that the BMW was a manual shift.

    That Gibbon work was a long title and I would have needed help to get it correct.

    This was from the week of February 25-March 1, 1985. And being that Helaine was from Wayne (Passaic County), NJ, it aired on WOR-TV (now WWOR) Channel 9 Secaucus at the 8:30pm timeslot, which aired right after News 9: Primetime w/ Tom Dunn & Sara Lee Kessler, if I'm not mistaken.

  • @trevorpanno5371

    I could not get that Gibbon work correct since it was a long title.

    1:24:21 - Summer is so searingly sultry and sexy in that outfit! In fact, she's so all that, it's a wonder any of the men on stage could think straight!!

    My cousin was in a empty parking lot and was standing in back of a dune buggy, fell off, hit his head and was killed instantly. He was 29. No one is our family has had anything to do w/dune buggies!

      @JohnMossSF  Год назад +1

      You know, I think I am going to turn off the comments section. I'm sorry about your cousin but this comment has absolutely nothing to do with Sale of the Century. Your cousin shouldn't have been standing on the back of the dune buggy. As tragic as it was, he acted foolishly and commensurate consquences ensued.

    I hope Ms.Helaine from Wayne NJ is still alive & if you are--- You,re thankful that I didn't host $ale Of THE Century in 1985 because-I was only 13 years old!! Of course I,m 52 years old now but for you Ms.Helaine from a game show fan from Baltimore MD-- if you would have won that $142,974 on MY version of SOTC!!--I WOULD HAVE ALSO GAVE YOU AN ADDITIONAL $1,000,000!!😮😮😮😮😮😮because giving up $66,800 in prizes to come back win them back & get that $64,000 jackpot!! That win was worth an extra $1,000,000!! ❤🎉😂😅😊

      I was thinking the same thing, like was she on a sedative?

    • @JohnMossSF
      @JohnMossSF  2 года назад +1

      In all honesty, she appeared to be overwhelmed. She was apparently smart enough to get on the show- $ale had a hard written test and interview process.
