Yes it’s amazing all those Monday experts on RUclips. “Keyboard warriors” love it.

I would’ve enjoyed watching the bushings getting pressed in! Maybe next time, thanks for the video Andy 😎

Sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. We all have gotten ourselves into jobs that just didn't go as planned and cost us more time and money to finish than projected initially. Thumbs Up!

For every 50 that go great, there's always got to be that one that screws with you a bit 🤣

Bidding over the phone is kind of a rock and a hard place situation. You can lose your shirt if you do, you can lose the job if you don't.

if I had to Guess what happened your stepover was not enough. with our bore tech bore welder we need to have over a .125 stepover on about .150 works well. the weld needs to be 2/3 on the base and 1/3 on the weld bead. we have made a sleeve just by welding on the last bead by not having the right step-over. bore welder likes 20 IPM easy was to get rotation is 9.4 times bore size to get your rotation in seconds. just be thankful there was no face work to be done. keep up the good work.

Thanks for the input, unfortunately this bore welder doesn't have an adjustable step over. I like your cheat for figuring out rotation I'll keep that in mind 🙂

What feeds your borewelder step? Screw feed? Nevertheless I like your time and feel your pain. I am sure they wanted their loader yesterday too! That's a lot of welding. Definitely.... Go get your camper and go camping, that'll be fun.

Bushings in bushings? Why would somebody do that?

It's not a terrible idea, just kind of cumbersome. I honestly can't think of a good reason for doing it to this, I usually save that trick for iron castings.
