I'm glad you like it. :) I have several wires stored at home. In the video, I think I used 0.5 or 0.8 wire. If the wire I'm using is thinner, or I'm making a longer stem, I'll twist it more, or tighter, the main thing for me is to make it stable. Also for a 0,8 or 1 mmm wire you will definitely need pliers to bend it properly.

Someone asked the same recently, so this very morning I got the prototype out of a box, because I couldn't remember and it turns out I folded back 1.2 cm from the smaller 10x5 cm paper rectangles and 1.4 cm from the larger 12x6 rectangles. You can't make a big mistake there, as the petals inside will be smaller anyway due to the difference in paper size. Have fun folding!

I also use 80 gram paper most of the time, regular office colour copy paper, and it doesn't tear. When finalising a fold, you might want to make sure you don't force it too much. My tip is to never use a fingernail or other sharpening tool to finalize the crease, just your fingertip.
