  • Ecofeminism and Theology: What has Mary got to do with the Climate Crisis? Aiming to consider the Climate Crisis from an ecumenical perspective, this presentation will review the emerging conversation of a ‘Green Mariology’ among feminist theologians around the world. The discussion will discuss how the representation and understanding that we have of Mary within Western culture has been historically and directly related to our theology of the environment. What can the Anglican Church learn from the important and insightful discussions that are taking place within contemporary Catholic feminist theology on the subject of our relationship with the environmental?
Emily Allen lives in a small town in Northamptonshire with her husband who is a curate in the Church of England. Emily is currently studying Systematic and Philosophical Theology at the University of Nottingham after recently graduating from Trinity College in Bristol.
