    I wish there was a video of someone actually going out for 24 hours with this pack. The review is very well done and informative. I would like to see it in practical use.

    I'm seeing that anomaly pocket on the side as an intentional design.
    That type of shape pocket is preferred for quick access items like a compass or similar sized quick item... headlamp, etc.

    Hope they (5.11) plan on making the entire Rush series in the M81 Woodland. Especially the 72. That would be awesome. I have the 72 in Black.

    In some locales, Like where I live Pinellas County Florida, Tacticool and camo is grey man, because they are in frequent use by everyone. Look at your own surroundings and determine what is used frequently and adjust your " GREY MAN." to that. Because across Tampa Bay in Tampa it is completely different..

    Yes, have had a rucksack in the same ballpark capacity and usage wise for many years now but mines Coyote Tan. Very good for overnighters and as you said, it's small enough so it's just a rucksack too. By now Have lots of varying pouches to attach to the Molle and that is the thing that is really appreciated, it can be changed somewhat for it's intended use. Good stuff!!

    I love the pack and am wondering the price of it. I think that it would be nice if they included the waist belt with the pack and have it padded. I like the clam style design in the main features of the pack as I always try to find packs in that design. Also how large is the pack in other words how many liters is it? Does it come in any other colors I like the green camo for hunting as in early archery season for deer hunting. I am an avid outdoors man the does a lot of hunting with both a bow, and a muzzle loader. And since the late season in upper eastern United states runs in the winter that is the reason for other colors. Please let me know. And keep up the good work.

    The rush 24 is probably the greatest rucksack ever made. It's just a bit too tactical for urban use unfortunately. I have the amp 24 and 72 which are better in some ways but worse in others. The new colourway of the rush is great too! Oh and the back panel is sweaty lol but most 5.11 rucks have that.

    • @pennsyltuckyreb9800
      @pennsyltuckyreb9800 Год назад +3

      @kevinhart46 The whole gray man thing... it depends. You're right but also not entirely right. There ARE plenty of scenarios where you WOULD want to try and be "gray man" and blend in. But this is mostly for city-slickers around lots of people and with potential military/LE threats, checkpoints, etc.
      But the rest of what you're talking about is equally fantasy.
      Most major SHTF events I've been through, local communities tend to band together for help and protection. Yeah, you'll always have your looters and 💩 bags running around but getting shot up just for walking around in daylight is a little out there.
      As long as you're not doing criminal stuff yourself and not living in the middle of a ghetto, no one is going to be randomly shooting at you.
      That's TEOTAWKI fantasy book doomer pr0n. It would take A LOT of crazy 💩 happening all at once for things to be THAT bad. 🙄 And if they did get that bad... you wouldn't want to be roaming around day or night. You'd want to be in a well stocked bunker for the next 2 years or so.....which 99% of us don't have the funds for anyway.
      Outside of the animal cities, most suburban and rural towns, communities will come together to maintain order and distribute resources.

    • @pennsyltuckyreb9800
      @pennsyltuckyreb9800 Год назад

      I have all the Rushes and they're all crap except the 72... because that's the only one that comes with a hip belt.
      And none of these type bags are what you really want anyway for a situation walking on foot for miles on end with any amount of gear over 20 lbs.

      Where I live a lot of people wear packs like this to go to school and commuting, so by wearing one you are actually a grey man
      Like I travelled to south america a while ago and I saw everybody wearing Maxpedition knock offs from China, they're really popular there for some reason

    • @MrLuffy9131
      @MrLuffy9131 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@pennsyltuckyreb9800 It's like the problem is I don't think there's a situation where you need 1000 denier like osprey has lifetime warranty and hiking bags are better fit for carrying long distances but I bought the previous rush 24 because they were a really good deal for $50 each lol

    • @pennsyltuckyreb9800
      @pennsyltuckyreb9800 9 месяцев назад +1

      @MrLuffy9131 The Rush 12/24/72 are great bags as long as you don't overload them. Keep it around 20-ish pounds maximum. You can load up the 72 up more but not much more.
      That kind of material is an advantage for longterm durability, cutting brush off main trails (which is a real possibility in SHTF), rubbing up against boulders regularly.... something common in my area of the Appalachians.
      For serious hiking on foot, 5.11 offers newer better models for that kind of walling.
      I'd like to get a much lighter pack, but for now, I go minimalist in my USMC ILBE. It's a heavy pack but near bombproof and very comfortable. I can easily haul around 40-ish pounds for miles in it. That would be my personal maximum winter weight...... but I'm trying to cut that down still.
